my ps3 turn off problem?

i just bought 2 new games for my ps3. one is nascar 08 and it told me to up grade my system vision from 1.3 to 1.8 or so. so i did and everything is working ok. but then when i play the other game that i bought call of duty3, i have not even start to play and the system turn off. i thought it a little weird so i try it again and it happen again. but the game i play before my old game madden 07 it works. only call of duty3 game that didn't work. do you think it was the up grade vision or is the disk is just bad? i look at the disk its good and it not copy, so confuse. thank you

are you entirely sure that the system is turning off...sometimes when i put a game in my ps3 the output completely turns off and it takes it a second to come back on because the game is loading all the data needed to warm up

Check the plug, insert the Blu-Ray the right way, make sure PS3 light is still green, some people when they a Black screen they assume the PS3 is off, so they turn off the PS3. If the PS3 is off it give a red light, on PS3 give a green light. Put in the CD, start game, and be patience

I have never heard of this before. If you did something to the PS3 like turn it off while you were updating the system, then this might be the problem because you aren't supposed to turn it off while updating because this can mess up the PS3.

Try emailing Sony customer support at us.playstation.com and tell them what problem you're having and they can probably give you a good answer and will help you figure out what the problem is.

Sometimes, it would just turn on if your PS3 starts to overheat. If your PS3 is in the 1% out of 100% that overheats, that would be horrible because 1% in the world has a PS3 that overheats.
