I always wonder why certain people like Jason Donavan, Kylie and Dannii Minogue, Holly Valance, etc spend most of their time here in the UK... why?? It's possible that there may be more work for them here, but why would you choose to be based in the UK over Australia??? It's not nearly as clean and friendly!!

Add: I'd rather have less money and less 'fame' living in Australia than living here in the uk!

Movie actors come and go, who remembers Tom Mix or William Boyd? Famous in their day, but they were before my time and that's getting to be a while ago.

The American thought of a walk of fame for movie actors first, that's fine, leave it to them. Why not think of something else? We already have the sound and vision archive in Canberra where Charles Chauvel and Chips Rafferty among others have their memorials.

"Aw In Canberra" I hear you cry. Well at least some of the Australian stuff is portable, unlike a concrete footpath. You can buy copies of "40,000 Horsemen" and perhaps even "The Sons of Matthew" and "The Moth of Moonbi".

Why copy everything America does??

Can't we just be our own country. There's signed 'stars' at Movie World on the Gold Coast - what more could you want?

There is a walk of fame for authors along Circular Quay. I suppose we have our priorities right.

Nicole kidman was born in hawaii, russel crowe was born in New Zealand, Naomi Watts was born in England....the list goes on, and the aussies have homes in US and London anyway so why bother.

Everywhere cant be great like America. This is a prime example of a question I asked a while back about the world being jealous of America. Thanks for proving my point!!!!!

UPDATE:
but now Americans. its funny why people leave there homeland for America. Great people from around the world seem to migrate to America for some odd reason.
