If you're craving sweets so badly, you might be hypoglycaemic. Go and have a blood test to be sure.

There is no one way to conquer sugar addiction, but there are some things that you can do to help:
1. You really need to check with your doctor to see if you might be a diabetic,or at least use a blood montor to check you blood. Normal is 60 - 120. before breakfast or two hours after a meal.
2. Sugar cravings can sometimes be caused by a hormonal imbalance caused by lack of unhealthy nutrition, low blood sugar.
3.Low serotonin levels and depression can trigger sugar cravings.
4. When you have a addiction to sugar and trying to lose weight, the best thing to do is don't keep high calorie sweets in the house. If they are in your reach then more than likely you will eat them.We use sugar free Jello and put just a dab of coolwhip light on top. We allow ourselves only one sugarfree snack at night, that is all. Old habits can be changed and replaced with some very good ones. That can help you reach your goals.
5.Don't skip meals. This can make sugar cravings worse. I know from experience that this does not help you lose weight. It will only cause you to eat more later on in the day, which can lead to more weight gain.
6.Eat balanced meals that consist of colorful vegetables and fruits, whole grains, protein, and healthy fats. Avoiding heavy processed foods such as high-fructose corn syrup and trans fats.
7. Drink plenty of water at least 64 oz. a day this will help fill you up. Water is good for your body.
I struggled for years with a sweet tooth. It is an on going process, but I have found it to be true that if I eat a low fat diet using all the above foods I crave less and I have been able to drop 22 lbs, without exercising! I never have done that before!
M y husband and I are both diabetics. We went to a dietision and she helped us with a very good diet, which does not seem like a diet at all because we get plenty of food and snacks. This helps keep us full with less craving thank the Lord!
I hope you try these thing .I know it will help you , if you will stick to it.

First, you shouldn’t deny yourself a little treat now and then. If you crave chocolate, try sugar free chocolate and of course like everything moderation is the key.
If you try to deny yourself, you only focus on it more. So you have to train yourself to say “alright, a little piece”, have your treat and be done with it.
Then maybe substitute something else for the chocolate, like apple slices with a non dairy cheese. Do this often enough and your body will start to crave the apples too.
Don’t look at it as deleting chocolate from your diet, look at it as expanding your pallet.

you are not alone in the sugar addiction, i think 3/4 of the world is addicted, the trick is to hold on for those 30 odd minutes when the craving reaches its peak, then it naturally dies down so work hard at it no other way

I was once advised that taking chromium tablets really helps with craving. They sell them for £2 at any Cambridge Diet Centre, or Slimming World as I think it is now known. You could always try your GP.

Eat something bitter before you head for the chocolate - a slice of lemon or lime or grapefruit will make the chocolate a WHOLE lot less desirable!

What a hard one to fight. The trouble is everything you crave tastes so good. I think unfortunatly it really is just mind over matter. Thats why its so difficult
