From to-day's news.
Immigrant drivers' outdated attitude to drink-driving is fuelling a rise in road crashes, a police chief has warned.
Chief Inspector Rick Dowell, the head of Dorset Police's traffic unit, said his officers were witnessing an increase in the number of foreign nationals involved in drink-driving.
He goes on to refer to Latvians as EAST Europeans.
Why is there no outrage in the press and in the country? Is it because one can abuse and lie about white immigrants.
Is this not fomenting and incouraging hatred of immigrants?
Our police are just filth. Who will protect us from their racism?

Regarding east europeans, I should explain. They live to the west of Helsinki. The term shows that the man is still living in the past as he uses USSR - talk.
Dorset must be packed out with millions of the filthy johnny foreigners from Latvia.
I hope that they all go to visit the guy next weekend to complain!

Doubtless the statistics have shown an enormous increase in drunk driving by these filthy Eastern Europeans. 5 cases more than last year is a 500% increase! WOW!
The laws in Latvia are stricter than in the UK. What does that prove that driving on the left is safer?

If you drove better you would not have these problems with the police. Stop the drink driving for example.

I'm sorry mate, but your a complete fool and don't know what you are talking about.
That the trouble with this country is you're not allowed to say anything because people like you brand everyone a racist, Just because you don't like what they say and/or you choose to ignore facts because YOU don't want to hear them.
It's so easy to throw words around like racist.
So some chief inspector somewhere called Latvians east europeans, so he's made a mistake, so what, we all do!
There are problems with certain section of the recent immigrant communities. Not that long ago a bus company in Manchester (I think it was) had all their buses removed from the road because their drivers virtually all east europeans were have too many accidents, some serious. This was fully reported on the local North West news. So what should have the local authority have done, let them carry on regardless, obviously if it was left to you then the answer would be, yes!
I for one don't want to live in a country where I am frightened to say anything for fear of prosecution. Unfortunately we are heading in the direction and it's all because of very silly people like you who are so intolerent of other people views whether factual or not.

I live out here in Europe, near the area in Question, If you did perhaps your attitude might be different, You may not know how great the British Police are compared with other States of the Union. Yes you will have Police who are racist, but i find them in minority in Britain, Drive around parts of central Europe and you might see a change, The British police are human and excepted by the public as so. Travel to Germany Austria Hungry Poland and other countries where the police are not accepted in the cities and very few people don't speak to them or even look at them in a respected way, then you see racism.
What you put out is what you get back, it is a fact of life.
As for some countries in Europe having drink problems it is true, So why would they change just because they cross the channel, other that the price of drink in Britain is shocking, I live in a country where wine and beer is cheaper than coke or a bottle of water, People drive in the country with very high levels of Alcohol our accidents this year relating to drink has increased by three times from last year. Do you not think the British police are not aware of this and stop people driving with this countries plates. come on be real. I would be more than willing to be stopped just to show I am not one of these idiots who drink and drive.

Latvia is in Eastern Europe. Check a map.
If he suspects a cultural difference in attitudes to drink driving, why is it racist to say so? He is not suggesting that they should be treated less favourably than any other group, just that we need to educate some immigrants on some aspects of our laws and culture.
While a few individual policemen may be racist, I don't believe that the institutional racism that certainly existed in the Police Force 30 years ago any longer exists.
WOZZA: You are allowed to say what you like - just because someone disagrees and suggests it's racist, doesn't mean you're not allowed to say it. That's freedom of speech.

So the police are filth for stating facts now? I think that pc, or as I prefer to call it, cowardice, has gone mad. There are so many people refusing to look reality in the face, and refusing to believe that immigrants are anything but poor persecuted angels that this country, MY country, will very soon be in just the same state of anarchy as so many of the immigrants homelands are. The most horrifying thing that I have ever heard of was what was said to a close friend of mine, a good copper. An east European contemptuously said to him; "I'm not frightened of you, I've killed children." Laugh that off.

You need to read the statistics.
If Dorset police are having increased problems with eastern european drink drivers then it is FACT not RACISM. You cannot simply slag off the police for stating this fact in public.
I work in an area that has a lot of gun crime(Manchester). Gun crime where I work is usally a result of black or asian gangs taking pot shots of each other. This is proven when you look at the stats. Does that make me a racist for stating that? Yes white gangs commit gun crime, and white british drivers drink drive, but not as much. What you need to understand is that Dorset`s problems will not be the same as Manchesters or Glasgows etc.
You live in a bubble and need to explore a bit more!

nicely, if a suspect is defined as a blonde white male, approximately 40, and around 210-220 kilos residing interior the Cincinnati section, I ought to assume to be regarded at thoroughly. All those setting up that description ought to assume somewhat greater scrutiny. even nonetheless, if against the regulation happens in a predominantly white, 40ish section, I should not be seen a primary suspect without an define of the suspect. So in some situations (whilst an define of a suspect is available), you damn nicely greater advantageous have self belief the government must be waiting to exhaust their aspects to locate the perp. If there is not any relatively description, then no, they shouldn't *assume* that's a definite profile.

You've gone off on one again. The above is not racist because it is a statement of fact which is very easily proved. Read your local paper to see who has been convicted of drink driving recently and it is clear that a large proportion of them are from Poland, Latvia and Lithuania. The reason is cultural because heavy drinking is accepted in these countries. If I were to say that many more younger people were being convicted of drink driving (also true) would I be being ageist?

I believe your question is , why is it alright to link a certain crime to white races but not alright to do the same to black races.
I'm afraid you have discovered a truth about this country very early on, it is so PC it is prejudice against white people, not only in the press reporting but in job interviews, where employers have to employ a certain percentage of ethnics. Even the Police have a reduced exam entry mark to favour black recruitment. My sister has just lost a job interview against an Indian woman for a job she thoroughly deserved so that the black quota could be full filled.
You have only been here a while, imagine how we feel about it.
I don't like your remark about the Police being filth. This may be another difference you will learn about our country and yours.

and let me guess you dont work and you sit in the local boozer and act as an armchair politician, you are so typical of the people in this country.
i bet you buy the dodgy cigerettes from the guy who doesnt speak good english which have been shipped into the country with a container full of people, as previously staed open your blinkered eyes and look at the country.
foreign drivers bring their vehicles over here and drive like they would back home failing to adhere to our road rules so the police are quite within their rights to stop them and if over the limit book them.
so you shut up protecting your dodgy goods racket.
