Where is a good place to order/purchase scarves, hats, and nightcaps for women who have lost hair due to chemotherapy? Winter is coming, and I'm especially interested in a soft, warm cap which can be worn comfortably at night and not interfere with sleep.

Thanks!

I work at a store that caters to women with hair loss from chemo. We also have a web site with all kinds of hats, turbans, sleep caps, scarves and other headcoverings. I sent a bunch of hats, sleep caps, etc. to a friend who was getting chemo and she loved them. The web site is www.chichairoptions.com and we're located near Cleveland, Ohio.

I have started chemo for lung cancer and had most of my hair come out from the first treatment.when I knew I was going to have chemo I went to a wig store and bought a couple wigs and had my hair dresser cut them like I wear my hair- loved them.I didn't go over the store because I wasn't looking for anything else. Yesterday I was by there again and couldn't believe all the turbans, scarves, caps they had in different styles, colors and fabrics and they were at a good price. I would think that a place like that would be your best place to start-- saved me a lot of running. Try them !

this is a great question! have you thought of learning to knit or crochet? crocheting is a LOT easier; you can get tips on line or ask a friend...i am thinking, you would save $$ and be able to feel/test the yarn(s) that interest you - plus, it's an activity that is pretty mindless once you know how, and you mite get really good at it - just think, giving a gift to a friend in similar circumstances mite feel really good - not to mention, if you're a creative individual, you mite even develop this into a hobby that creates xtra cash! (i am blessed because i do not have cancer, BUT! I crochet cotten yarn bathing suits (2) piece for extra $ in the summer - also, just the tops - either bathing suit tops, or halters - it is FUN! i APPLAUD you for reaching out for a solution to this issue! You be thinkin' girl - you GO! Oops, almost 4got - sometimes i use my old nylons as stocking caps - just to keep the hair i am fortunate to have in shape - they are really comfortable; just knot at the base so they don't fall off/come off (cut off either the panty portion, or the feet, whichever feels comfortable)....best regards, andra j

Have you tried eBay?
I think you can find them at your local senior center, even if you are not a senior...sometimes they have the seniors make caps to donate at Christmas time...
I would check with medical supply stores, or go to one of the "chic" stores at the Mall...You'll be able to tell by the feel of them....But, I would start at the senior center by calling around, and maybe try a beauty supply store, too!...
Have you asked the doctors or nurses?
GOD BLESS YOU....I just said a prayer for you....

I raided a variety of local shops!

I also had several given to me by friends who saw suitable ones and were looking at ways to show they cared.

They were also available free of charge from the hospital where I was having my chemotherapy or for a token payment at my oncologists office.
