No.

A person doesn't actually contract AIDS either. They contract HIV, which eventually turns into AIDS.

A person can contract HIV by:
- sex (vaginal, oral, or anal) with someone who has HIV/AIDS
- sharing syringes/needles with a person who has HIV/AIDS
- mother to baby transmission
- blood transfusion (less common today then back in the 80s because of stricter donating guidelines)

And, almost every STD can be spread from mother to baby transmission. However, it's pretty rare.

DIRECT skin to skin contact STDs like herpes and HPV can be spread by any kind of direct skin to skin contact with an infected area. So, even if a couple didn't have sex and just had foreplay or "dry humped" they can still spread the virus if they have DIRECT skin to skin contact.

Take care!

No, you can get STD's from other sexual contact and you can get AIDS from transfusions, sharing drug needles and other sexual contact other than sex as well as someone with the virus who is bleeding and them touching an open sore on you.
