I am going to make a wedding cake for the Bride of Frankenstein.
So far, this is my idea.
3 tiers, the bottom will actually be a cardboard box painted black and covered in cheescloth. Like the Bride of Frankenstien wore.
I want to use black icing and use white icing to mimick the wave she had in her hair.
I can't really think of anything else. What should the cake topper be? How can I make this cake more spooky? ANY ideas are welcome and much appreciated. Thanks.

Go to the cake decorating section of your craft store. Look for the small gum paste cutters. Get the ones shaped like bats and ghosts. Make them out of the gum paste ( they usually have a free instruction sheet on how to work with gum paste. Once you make them, insert wires into them and stick them into the cake so they appear to to flying around it. For the top of the cake, I would carve one of those small, carveable, artifical pumpkins. Put in one of those battery operated flickering tea lights. Since the bottom of the cake will be a box ( won't be touching food ) I would use some fiberfill, that is used in pillows, to surround the base of the cake. Under the fiberfill, place a small set of purple or orange lights to give it an errie glow. Throw on some gummy worms for affect. Look at the Halloween town at Michales to see if there is anything else you could use on the cake. It is all on sale for 30% off. You will probably find a better cake topper there. Most light up, or move in some way. ( The whole section is magical! )
