for those who answered my question, for 1) I did not take the puppy away from its mom, the puppy was found behind a store where so jerk adbandoned it and I took it in, and giving the pup the best love and support I can give it. The rice in the food is working for the one that gave me that answer. The dawn dish soap is working for the fleas.
So just to let you know, I am a life saver not a harmer to the puppy. the puppy is very playful eats very well and sleeps.
Thanks for all your help

First. Call your local vet. Get the puppy Advantix or Frontline. Then for the diarrea make some rice and add it to the food.

Ok, first of all, like many people have already stated, the puppy you have is way to young to be away from its mother. Puppies should not leave the litter until they are 8 weeks old because of socialization and health issues that may arise. Puppies can not even get their first set of shots until they are 8 weeks old. There is no reason for a puppy that is 6 weeks old to have fleas unless the mother had fleas. IF the mother had fleas, bad breeder, or someone that just doesn't give a damn about there dog. IF a 6 week old puppy has diarrea, it could be parvo or toxida (however it is spell). Both can be very dangerous and life threatening. You need to get the puppy to the vet right away, and if you paid for this puppy, you need to contact the breeder. Not onnly for legal reasons but because if it is toxida or parvo, the puppy ddidn't get it since you have had it, it got it before you got it which means that the other puppies also have it. IF you did get the puppy from the shelter, let them know because they also need to take steps for cleaning.

At 6 weeks, you do NOT want to use chemicals. Bathe him in Dawn dishwashing liquid or any dish detergent with lemon oil in it. Soap him up and let it sit on him for 20 minutes. Then rinse him well. That should kill the fleas. For the other issue...call the vet. He could have nothing more than a sensitive stomach but it could also be parvo. Puppies dehydrate quickly because they're small, so don't waste time if it's bad!

firstly, just give the pup small amounts of boiled cooled water to drink. no food for 12 hours. it won't do him any harm as long as he has fluids and so long as he isn't vomiting too. then feed him a food which contains fish or chicken as this is easier to digest...just small amounts at a time. he has an immature digestive system which is easily upset at this age....it should clear up within the next 24 hrs...if not take him to the vet, he'll need treatment as they can easily become dehydrated. i'm sure he'll be fine though. as for fleas the best preparations are those from the vet. they do the job more effectively, he will need worming too,cos when they have fleas...the worms are there soon after. hope you get on ok...good luck.

It could be various things and at this young age he can die.
For the diarrea, have you been swtiching his food from brand to brand ? This will cause ANY dog diarrea. You can give him a tablespoon of Kaopectate, or pepto. This will not hurt the dog at all. As for the fleas, you can give him a bath in BLUE DAWN liquid. It will kill the fleas, but it does not prevent new ones.

This pup sounds very sickly and you should take him to the vet ASAP.... if you care if he lives or dies.

I am not a vet , just advice. Please call your vet ASAP. and ask him/her these questions.

Fleas carry dieases ~ I would take him to the vet to find out why he has diarrea and then get a shampoo that your vet suggests to put on your dog....Read this artical that I found about the dieases that fleas carry;

DISEASES TRANSMITTED BY FLEAS
In addition to delivering annoying, itchy bites, fleas are capable of transmitting infectious diseases either by direct transmission or by acting as a vector for disease producing organisms.

Flea bite dermatitis: Fleas inject a small amount of salivary gland secretion into the skin when they bite to thin the blood. This saliva may cause a rash like reaction in most victims.

Murine typhus: Fleas can transmit murine typhus to humans from rats, and less often mice. The incubation period for this disease is 6 to 14 days. Murine typhus is rare in the United States, most cases are from Texas.

Plague: Rodent fleas are principle vectors in the transmission of bubonic plague between rats or from rats to humans. The incubation period in humans is from 2 to 10 days. A common scenario is that fleas leave an infested rodent just after its death and switch to humans.

Tapeworm: Fleas are common vectors of tapeworms that infest cats, dogs, and humans. The flea infests the tapeworm eggs when it feeds on infested fecal matter. The eggs develop into cysticeroids inside the flea. The flea is then ingested by a human, cat, or dog. The cysticeroid is then liberated and develops into an adult tapeworms in the digestive tract of the new host.

The puppy is too young to be away from his mother, but to answer your question go buy flea shampoo for puppies. Keep an eye on his diarrhea, if it continues take him to the vet. It is sometimes normal for puppies to get it, especially when you change the food he has been on to something different or you feed him people food.

Take him to the vet. I had the same problem with my 6 week old puppy, she was negative for parvo. The vet gave her a special diet, until the diarrhea was gone.

First, you should give him a little bit of Pedia-lyte to keep him from getting dehydrated. For the fleas you have to go get Frontline for the fleas. It's waterproof and it kills the fleas on contact. First I would give him a bath in regular conditioner (something moisturizing, like oatmeal). Then about 2 days after that, put Frontline on him. Hope that helps.
