Over-the-counter lotions that contain the chemical permethrin such as Rid and Nix will get rid of the lice. (Talk to your doctor before using any product that contains the chemical lindane, which can be toxic, especially for unborn children.) After washing with the lotion, use a fine-toothed comb to comb out the crabs and their eggs (called nits). Your sexual partner(s) must be treated as well, and all clothing or bedding that may be infested must be washed in very hot water or dry-cleaned. In some cases, clothing, towels, or bedding may need to be washed a few times before they're completely lice-free.
Take care!

The best way to treat pubic lice is to follow the directions on the package insert of an over-the-counter medication like A-200, RID, and InnoGel. Pregnant and breastfeeding women and infants, however, can't use these medications. They must use products designed especially for them, such as Eurax.
Whatever treatment is chosen, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment from head-to-toe. Everyone who may have been exposed to pubic lice should be treated at the same time.
It's also important to do a major washing — with really hot water — of all bedding, towels, and clothing that may have been exposed and get out the vacuum for some serious cleaning.
Hope this information helps!

Same medicine that you use to get rid of lice. You can buy it OTC at any pharmancy. ("Rid" is a name brand of one of the drugs available.) Follow the same directions for ridding yourself of lice. Use the nit comb. Wash ALL your underwear and sheets/blankets in HOT water. Spray furniture and bedding. Check yourself daily for the first week or two, be sure they are gone, and you don't need a re-treatment. If two treatments don't help, call your doctor. After you think that they're gone, still check yourself once or twice a week. Keep an eye open to be sire that you don;t get an infection from the bugs, their biting, and your scratching. If you are so inclined, shave the area to be extra safe and sure. Females: keep the drug OUT of the vagina - external use only. The crabs should not be inthere, anyway.

Use a lice product like RID and comb through. Make sure to have all the bedding washed with hot water, as well as your clothing. You will have to go through your furnishing as well. And, don't forget that your partner/s will need to follow the same procedure. Crabs, or pubic lice is a sexually transmitted condition. Choose your partner/s wisely and play it safe. This time it was crabs, it can be worse next time.

You can find a special shampoo at the drug store for body lice. I think it's called Quell. You shampoo the area, following the directions on the box, then use the special fine toothed comb to comb out the dead buggies and their eggs. Be sure to wash anything made of fabric that you may have come in contact with (towels, undies, sheets, etc.)
