You are weak because you don't do a lot of heavy lifting or work-out. Either that or you don't eat enough or eat the right things.

Is this a joke? Have you never seen an annoying, trendy teenage girl? Almost all of them eat meat and a lot of them look like twigs. Same thing goes for most of the 90 pound nerds that play Warcaft on their computer 24/7

Not necessarily. Do you get a well-balanced diet with fresh vegetables and fruit, grains, high protein food like beans and nuts, and dairy?

Do you get any exercise?

Have you seen a doctor to find out if you really have a health problem or not? Have you seen a dietitian?

I've been vegetarian for 23 years and I'm definitely not weak or underweight.

My wife is a dietitian and I never heard of anyone having to eat meat for the reasons you give.

Yes, but as Paul Ding says you don't have to give up your veggies. Here is a question that will help you regain your health and give you a normal diet. Become a Flexitarian Vegetarian and have the best of both worlds.

But you need to start now to regain your health. And that means eating a wide variety of food. So choose whether you want to be a 90/10, 80/20 or 75/25 Flexitarian Vegetarian and you will be on the road to better health and you wont' be stressing over what you can eat.

I think maybe you should see a dietician. Document what you eat every day. they can tell you what you're missing.
I used to be a vegetarian, I ate mostly Indian food and never had a problem health-wise, in fact my health improved greatly. Unfortunately I cannot cook Indian food myself and don't like vegetables that aren't prepared correctly, so I've been forced to eat other foods.
A dietician can really help, and you don't have to stop being a vegetarian to become healthy again. It's all about personal preference - believe me, if I could, I'd be a vegetarian right now.

Depends on your reason for being a vegetarian. Are you not eating meat for moral reasons? if so then that's a decision only you can make.

I suggest you see a Doctor first and get bloodwork done to make sure you are okay

There are plenty of non-meat items to supplement your diet and you need to be eating them.

Check the link below out.. there is a lot of information that can help you. It says women's health but the basics are for everyone.

You need protein. The same thing started happening to me when I first became veggie. If you allow eggs into your diet, eat egg whites in the morning or before going to bed. Drink a protein shake once a day. Heat up a bunch of edamame pods - great snack and fun to eat! Almonds are also a good sourch of protein.

If you are slim and weak due to diet, you obviously are not getting enough calories and are not eating right. If you are not sure it's diet related, see a doctor.

I'm a vegetarian and the perfect weight for my height and far from weak.

lol, yeah, cos thats gonna help. if you wonna stay veg dont let the fact your weak sway your desision, food doesnt make you strong unless its heavy.

the only way to build your muscles is to do physical work, go to the gym etc...
contrary to common belief protien does not grow your muscles. if anything meat will make you gain weight but not muscle as it has a very high fat content.
want proof? here it is...
