And neither are murderers, liars, thieves, haters, and a whole list of other activities God defines as sin. Oh...sin...that other three-letter S word that so many hate to hear.
Point is...none of us can get into heaven on our own merit. Just not good enough. Think about it...if there was any other way for God to let us into Heaven other than having to pour out His wrath on Jesus...and if there was just any other way other than having to come from Heaven and let us pound a few nails into His arms...don't you think God would have gone for the alternate?
The point is...whether your sin of choice is homosexuality, pornography, cheating on your wife, lying for whatever reason, or what ever the choice is...the penalty of sin still needs to be paid.
And that's where asking for forgiveness becomes important. Genuine repentence...not just "hey God...forgive me for cheating on my wife...gotta get it confessed, but not willing to stop."
So...I'd agree....we can repent. And our actions will show how genuine the repentance is.

The writer was probably referring to 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
This verse specifically states that homosexuals will not "go to heaven". It also list other types of sins that will have the same affect. Not having read the original post I can not be certain, but odds are since the subject was homosexuality, that was the only issue the writer addressed.
Christianity does not see homosexuality as any more (or any less) of a sin then any of the others listed. It is just that a this time the homosexual community is trying to force society to accept their sin as "normal" and protected by law. So the church is having to publically stand against it more then normal. But sin is sin is sin.

Knowing its a sin and still doing it- is sinful. Now if you repent of it and are done with it then its all good. Even if you still desire it Jesus can deliver you of that and if ya backslide the forgiveness is there.
I think it takes a full revelation of God to turn completely away from anything.
I Have my own issues that have been taken away fast then some because of my own stubborn mind would justify it to fit me not being the New creature in Christ that I am suppose to be. We all sin even when we don't realize it.Like- If I offend someone and don't know it. That is why a open communication with God is important in the Christian Walk if we sin and let it bury within us it will pull us away from God then we will be asking God," Where are You" we have to get back to the "Secret Place" and Repent.***************************************
Galations 5 has a list of the things we are to turn away from or we will not inherit the Kingdom of God if its Not covered through Jesus's Sacrifice.

I feel God loves all that he created,he knows we're not infallible,& bound to question faith. Our ticket to Heaven is to find Love & Peace on earth,& really make an honest effort at it.Learn to appreciate all people we come in contact with regardless,& show respect for those who differ from ourselves. We can't sit in judgement of others. We can find respect. All we need to do is remember the Golden Rule. The Bible is so fractured with differing translations, that we only need the spirit in which it was written.

Everyone has sinned. But like the tax collector and the prostitute who came to Jesus for forgiveness, they received.
Me too. I sinned. But Jesus forgave me and also baptized me with Holy Spirit which I never have imagined.
Please read how Jesus changed my life,

Any person with sin, is not allowed inside heaven - even if they tell a small lie or do a big murder or was just prideful like Lucifer. But anyone who comes to Jesus with repentive heart for change of heart, receives.

according to someone i saw on here a little bit ago...
some verse in romans i think it was
said basically whatever the government makes law...is god's standard.
which makes sense with no murdering, stealing yaddah yaddah.
But they just keep passing laws state to state and world wide, that gay people have civil rights, and right to marriage.
so... all in all...jesus never said anything about gay people...
some other guy did, probably the same one who wrote women were made from a rib bone of man.
christians bend the great book of their god to their liking.
The bible could say jesus enjoyed long walks on the beach.
They would turn it into everyone should take a walk on the beach every sunday for 15 minutes barefoot....sandals? oh you are hell bound.

The gay life style is an abomination of God. He still loves the sinners but hates the sin and it is up to the sinner to make things right with God. Continuing to live this life style after asking for forgiveness is like lying to Gods face. So if you think you are living Gods will for you and your doing the things that he tells you to do then it's all up to him on judgment day. Theres no way your going to get anybody to say "Go ahead and be gay God will forget about it and welcome you with open arms" because that's not going to happen. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS!!!

THE ONLY PLACE IT TALKS OF HOMOSEXUALITY BEING A SIN IS WHEN IT WAS TALKING ABOUT BEING IN IDOL WORSHIP. LEVITICUS ANYTHING YOU DO IN IDOL WORSHIP IS SINFUL NO MATTER WHAT IT IS.IN RUTH IT TALKS OF THEM BEING MORE THAN JUST IN-LAWS.CH1 VRS'S14-18 THE THINGS SAID THERE WOULDN'T BE SAID TO JUST AN IN-LAW YOU WOULD SAY THEM TO A SPOUSE..THEN JONATHAN & DAVID ALSO SAID & DID THINGS FOR ONE ANOTHER THAT YOU WOULD ONLY SAY OR DO FOR A SPOUSE NOT A FRIEND. HE WAS EVEN OFFERED THE SISTERS & TURNED THEM DOWN MORE THEN ONCE. BUT STILL HAD THAT CLOSE OF A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM... THERE IS ALSO A PLACE WHERE A MAN ASKS FOR HIS SLAVE TO BE HEALED IN HEBREW VERSION IT'S PIAS(IF MY SPELLING IS CORRECT) & THAT IS MORE OF A SEXUAL RELATION THAN JUST A SLAVE IF YOU LOOK AT IT IN THE HEBREW TERMS. HOWEVER I DON'T REMEMBER WHERE THAT ONE IS AT IN THE BIBLE...

You can repent. But to have fully repented, and be a follower of Christ is to quit the sinful lifestyle. We still make mistakes and still sin, but not everyday doing the same old sin. That means you have not fully given your heart to God. You will be one of the many who stands before God and say you were a christian and Christ will say he never knew you.

yes we all can repent I believe they are saying that if they don't change there ways they will not be allowed into heaven. Which I belive is true because the bible says so, Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Now if it is an abomination do you think God would allow abominations in His house?
