The only time age has anything to do with learning, is when you are too weak and arthritic to hold the neck of the guitar in your hand.
25 is a fine time to learn, I learned Russian when I was 25 in the US Army, 6 hours a day, 5 days a week for 47 week, we did nothing but study Russian. It wasn't as easy learning as it might have been when you learn your own language growing up, but it was by no means impossible.
At 25 and even older, you are more focused on learning what you need to learn, not so easily distracted as you were when a small child. Learn the acoustic git, build up those calluses on the ends of your fingers and get to learning!

If you wait until you're 35 will you ask the same question? No, being 25 years old is not too late to learn to play the guitar.
Pick up a beginners book such as Hal Leonard's Guitar Method #1 and dig in. Grab tips from guitar playing friends; they will be happy to share with you their knowledge.

the answer is SO obvious.
Never too old can you be!!!
though there MAY be some facts u can't deny about your fingers being stiffer than those of a 5yrs old kid who picked up guitar.
i started guitar and piano at the age of 19, don't seems to have much problem, although i really hope i had learn them sooner.
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE, my friend, only perhaps, a little more difficulties in certain parts.

Hi, I started to learn about a year ago, and I'm 41!! OK, maybe I don't pick it up as quickly as a teenager, but I still enjoy learning. I would advise you to take lessons, you learn so much more in a group than you will from a book. Maybe we'll all meet up in 20 years time for a jam session!!!

Definitely not. The guitar is really easy to learn when you are just learning chords. Learning to read music and classical guitar will take longer but it is so much more beautiful! I think anyone can learn basic guitar skills at any age.

You are never too old to learn anything, does seem a strange question!
Why do you ask? If people are telling you otherwise then do not listen, make your own mind up, but trust me when I say that you are never too old to learn a new skill whether for leisure or work.

It's never too late and you're never too old. Here are some true stories to prove it:
**There was a woman who loved gymnastics ever since she was a kid. She was a good gymnast and used to teach. Then she retired. At the age of 85, she started teaching again!
**There was a man who wanted to get a Masters Degree so he entered college and studied and got it at the amazing age of 100 years old. He said that he knows no one will hire him, but he just got it to prove it to people that if you have something in mind, it's never too late.
Hope I helped and Good-Luck!

There is no upper age limit. The only difference is that older people don't tend to do nothing but play the guitar like teenagers do!
