Everyone keeps quoting Bible verses at me trying to prove the Bible is right and the Book of Mormon is not scripture, but they can't give me ONE verse that specifically talks about THE BIBLE. They assUme that some verses speak of the BIBLE only, but I don't see it, since they talk about "scripture" or "the word of God" or whatever and those verses can totally be interpreted to mean the Book of Mormon as well as the Bible. So, can you come up with just ONE verse that talks about ONLY The BIBLE?

And please, don't use "poor spelling" etc. against me, it's my stupid keyboard and I don't have money to replace it and time to go back all the time to correct the errors.

Revelation 22:18 is not saying THE BIBLE! REad it, it says THIS BOOK, which is not the BIble, since the word "Bible" is taken from a word meaning LIBRARY, which is MANY books. That verse in Revelation is talking about The BOOK of REVELATION. I mean, when John wrote this, WAS there a Bible as we know it today? So how could he mean THE BIBLE?

Revelation 22:18 is out.

It states it specifically this way: "It is written"..... whenever you see this statement, it refers to the Old Testament... specifically with regards to prophetic writings.....

there is also, "in the law"....... This is mosaic laws being referred to.....

****UPDATE: Based on your ideology of what should be, sounds to me like you want to hear something that isn't there. If you want the "bible" to say "the bible", then you wont hear it. "Bible" is a collection of Scriptures in a book canonized by a faith which rejected some writings which could also be called Scripture if they were inclusive. The term "bible" is one given men to sum up the "writings".... and the writings, which we call "Scripture" are that collection we also came to term "Bible" as a matter of acceptance and identification of the whole written matter........

"and so it is written".......

Revelations 11 - the two witnesses are the Old and New Testaments as represented by Moses and Elijah. Moses points to the Law and Elijah points to Christ. The chapter speaks a prophecy regarding the 1260 years that the Roman Catholic papacy supressed scripture from the common people and the only ones that had access where clergy unless it was smuggled. Literally, in these middle ages, portions of scripture were smuggled from monestraries in the grave sacks of dead monks so to be buried and dug back up again. However, if you were caught with any of it...you were gonna get it in a bad way. Scripture was used to torment people for several centuries while pagan practices were melded with the Biblical principles and etc. The time for papal reign and the development of the KJV Bible in its entirety including the apochrypha was exactly about 1260 years. Its all symbolic but many christians try to apply a literal account to it that will happen when in fact it has already occured. Love in Christ, ~J~

correct, there is no verse when says "the bible blah blah blah" because when the scriptures were written the bible wasn't around. The Bible is a compulation of books such as the Book of Matthew, the Book of Romans, the Book of Revelations, etc. And as you said that verse in Revelation speaks only of Revelation and not of the entire bible for that very reason, when John the Revelator was alive there was no bible.

Once when Jesus takes scripture to read, He reads from Isaiah. And also other references by paul are made from book of psalms and books of moses(genesis, exodus, leviticus, numbers and deutronomy).

I dont know what is written in the book of mormons. But for me, as a chirstians, bible was boring. But recently the words from bible touched my heart very much.
Some are:-
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Mathew 22:36-40
Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.Mark 6:33

About it's value: 2 Timothy 3:16,17 -
All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for idsciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

About it's power - Hebrews 10:12 -
The word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two edged sword...

About it's source/true author - 2 Peter 1:20,21 -
"for you know this first, that no prophecy of scripture springs from any private interpretion. For prophecywas at no time brought by man's will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit.

PS: You will not find a verse that says the word Bible referring to ONE book. But clearly The Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy was referring to the totality of all the written word.

The best I can do is Ezk 37:15-19, which refers to the Bible as the stick of Judah.

Bible was not a planned book, these are collections of some writing by different people bundled together. Actual authors of these books never knew that, their writings will be made part of a book called bible later.

Dont have a Cow man!

christianity is led by blind men.

saying this. let it be mildly said that even LDS believers can be misled and believe things that are not true.
i was one of them.
the book of mormon or the bible cannot be proven, EVER, that they are True. Even the book of mormon was translated with a few incorrect teachings of mean, that are false.

mankind has a complete history of screwing things up. blind men of faith uphold such false doctrines and faithful men follow their leaders.

How much time in your day do you spend looking up someone else's interpretations ? Those "words" have gotten changed around according to who interpreted what ? Look at the different views on marriages, according to which Bible you look at....Mormon's, Catholics, Baptist's, etc...Basically faiths are based in goodness.Everybody's arguing over what ? We got 10 Commandments, that you don't have to belong to a religion, to believe in.

Yes, there are several.

Importance of the Scripture (2 Timothy 3,14-15)

But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and believed, because you know from whom you learned it, and that from infancy you have known (the) sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

The Word of God is Alive and Active (Hebrews 4,12-13)

Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart. No creature is concealed from him, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.

God's Word: Hope for the Nation (Romans 15,4)

For whatever was written previously was written for our instruction, that by endurance and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
