Oh yes, definitely. I like beans but the after effect is really awful (flatulence).

They told me to decrease one's fart after eating beans, it is best to soak uncooked beans in many hours then, pressure cook it and make sure it is soft and edible enough to eat. I've researched that some beans really makes one fart like soya beans, etc. But mung beans, etc. (can't remember) have a slight effect on one's body.

But beans overall are good.... I just have a daily dose of live probiotic yogurt to help my digestion as well.

Yes. Beans make you fart because they contain sugars the human body simply cannot digest. These sugars are called oligosaccharides and once they reach the lower intestines, the bacteria go berserk, start feasting, and make loads of gas.
