In many instances of Bible interpretation the words "fear" and "respect" are very close in meaning. To determine more precisely which modern word to use we must look at context.

The only thing your God created is Death,and if you fear yourself more fool you,as it was a human trait that made you believe that there was a higher being than you,so when you go to church and ask forgiveness for your sins it is you who you are asking,so it is you who will answer you and not GOD
as he is a nothing and never has been,you have all been collectively brainwashed by your stupid beliefs in Christianity
and what ever Gods or spirits you all follow,your job now is to have a good long look at yourselves and get rid of your
dreams of grandeur.
Wake up to your silly selves and believe in you not some God that is not there !!

God has created, is running, and will destroy the Universe. God is the Origin and Destination of the Universe. You give your Best, God will give thy Best. There are many kinds of fears
From God
From dark
From peoples
From animals. Etc...
The fear of God is the part of the religion to love him, you can't say that you love God if you not start by fearing him its the head of wisdom to fear God, its different from anther fearing

Personally, I believe you should never fear those you follow.
But then again, I also don't believe in God. However, it makes no difference to me whether you believe or not or /what/ you believe.
