I applied for a perminent resident and my Status on line is In Progress, I'm still worried about it;do I need to write to the High Commition and send the corrections?like date of birth and my company's name? and if so, do i have to fill out a new form? However,I've been waiting for for almost one year and a half.By the way, I attached all the correct ID's and references.

Technically, they can deny the application based on this. However technically you can get a ticket for dropping a candy wrapper on the ground but if you were to do this in front of a police officer (s)he would probably just tell you to pick it up rather than enforcing the full effect of the law. If the errors could be deemed as being deceitful/trying to hide an important fact they could deny. Or they could deny just because the official is having a bad day. Or they may not even notice & just say approved. Or they may notice, ask for an explanation & be fine with what you say. If in doubt, call & ask annonymously (don't draw attention). Consult an immigration attorney if it becomes an issue as they are less likely to question forms/follow ups with an attorneys signature on it as they reckon people that can afford an attorney will fight more if petition is denied.

Good luck in the process!

Your question is very much evasive, you didn't mention what category visa you applied for. If your mistake (filled up application form) raises doubts in the visa officer's mind, he'll take it to be a 'lie' and this may black-list you for entry in the USA. But still you may try to mention the facts and the circumstances in which you made these mistakes. If the visa officer thinks your mistakes as innocent ones, they may consider your positively, Insallah. Although this possibility seems remote, but still give it a try. Good luck.

The way I look at it, if you are a business person or owner, you should already know how to fill out forms correctly.Since you beleive you made mistakes on your application for a Permenant Residency, then you should know the office that you need to go to. This should be the office where you originally applied to so they can assist you.

Of course it does!, If your date of birth is a correction then you have something in common with my Mother -in - law who knocks off a few years quite frequently. She will soon be younger than her daughter!.So far we have been able to keep her out of the country, but we hear that she is assembling a "Kontiki" type balsa wood raft. If your date of birth is way out then you may receive your old age pension before you start work! Don't worry, some immigration officials have a sense of humour!

Sounds like you're a liar trying to con the government..

If you got the birth date wrong you could be mistaken for someone else who has the same name as you. That could be bad depending on what the other person has done.

It is very hard to change the documents that you submitted in an application. More often than not, the decision will be based on the original submitted papers but the errors could be dispensed with if proven to be errors in good faith.

It sounds like you are trying to scam the system. Telling us that 'you made a mistake." Actually, it is probably that you know you won't get in with the actual facts that you wrote and you are trying to find out how to change it to a lie that will pass! How do you mess up your date of birth?! Sorry, that doesn't fly.
