Ok, this is why women sit at the BACK of the synagogue.

Eve had been deceived. ADAM...did the big sins. For instance, he did not TEACH eve the importance of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Also, he chose to LIE to G-d instead of repent. G-d was looking for the first ever repentance of sin...but Adam said "that woman did it!"

So, women sit at the back because the men need the real repenting. The women's hearts are much more ready for G-d at any given time. Also in Judaism, men are given much more rules to keep them in line (wearing of tzitzit, kippah, being the preist of the home, Shabbat rules, etc)

Because men need them. G-d knows women do not need as many things to stay in line. Also, men's wandering eyes are better off with the women in the back.

See, sometimes what we see as "discrimination" is really just a big misunderstanding.

So many people say "oh....the poor women...not allowed up front"

Blessings and Shalom
David

...but that doesn't make any sense...because women DON'T sit at the back of the synagogue....

In many synagogues, the women's sections and the men's sections are right next to each other, separated by a curtain. Women not having as many mitzvot doesn't have much to do with Adam and Eve, since in most streams Judaism, it's treated as a metaphor for how G-d created the world. Women have all the mitzvot men have but not the ones dictated by time--for example they don't have to pray three times a day because they have other things they need to do. Also in Judaism, there is really no such thing as a "priest of the home," so I'm not sure where you get that....the heart of Judaism is the home, and the heart of the home is the mother. Women and men are kept separate for BOTH to remain fixated on G-d, not just men.

How many years have you been studying?

For the record, that is not a Christian teaching. The reason why women are not allowed to preach in the church is precisely BECAUSE Eve was deceived AND NOT ADAM.

1Ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

That's a cop out. Judaism has always considered women as second rate, even as Muslims and some Christians do.
