Close your eyes
And picture peace
Quiet your spirit
And give it ease.
Rest in contentment
Within your soul.
Release your worries
And you will know.
I have not wise
Words to share.
But I would say I love you.
And that I care

I pray to God.
I meditate for therapeutic reasons.

There is nothing wrong with doing both...each brings with it a different kind of peace.

I have struggled with religion for a long time and finally have found peace being agnostic, meaning I do not choose to believe or disbelieve, I do not know, therefore I do not choose. Many people say to me "isnt it better to just believe just in case there is a God?" and my answer is - not if deep down you really dont know - because then u are just lying to yourself and everyone else and if there is a God - u are lying to him too. I go to my husbands families church once every month or two - whenever we are in town, in hopes of the moment it comes clear to me - but so far it hasnt, so I dont dwell on it anymore - I cant help what I really feel inside no matter what it is - so for the time being until my true feelings change, I choose to be honest and say I really have no idea whether I believe or not.

I pray more than meditate. My Faith and Spirituality are a big part of my every day life. I'm still working on having peace, wish me luck.

In Wicca, we do not pray per say, but we do rituals of honoring Mother Earth, the God and the Goddess, and all things, as well as meditate. And yes my faith does bring me peace of mind as well as a feeling of being connected to everything and everyone.

Praying is showing faith to an external Deity whereas in Wicca we believe that we are all a part of the Divine, this is why I don't say that we pray.

I both pray and meditate (or at least try to). I find that it is not so much my beliefs that give me peace, nor my prayers or meditations that give me peace, but rather God who is the giver of peace. And it is because of his action, his mercy and love in my life that I learn to believe, that I learn to better pray and meditate. When I think these things, my faith, my prayer or my meditation, can win me God's peace, it is normally then that I am the most anxious and afraid, not to mention distrustful and self centered.

Dominus det tibi pacem.

Well, it's good to see you back around! I hope everything is going well for you?
I pray during the day and at night..While I am trying to sleep, I meditate, which is to God, so it could also be considered prayer too.
Take care!

I have meditated for many years, though I haven't been as diligent at it lately as I used to be. I mix that with prayer and meditation on the bible, and occasionally mix a little zen into it. It has brought me great peace and does wonders for my stress level.

It is possible to contact God and to have a loving, intimate relationship with Spirit. Spirit is able to relate to us in a personal way. In particular, as our Divine Parents, Spirit fills in the gaps where we did not receive love, understanding, support and guidance from our human ones. Everything good and loving that you did not receive from your human family or friends is supplied by our Divine Parents.
