Hello p'ssed off. First of all how much do you smoke a day? What I would do is work yourself down. Like if you smoke 5 a day go down to 3 or 4 a day. Then try to work yourself down to nothing. And maybe you need something to for your nerves, or take you some pm's or something. That's what I would do. Anyway I think its a mind thing. Another thing you could do is every time you think about a smoke pick your Bible up and read it, then before you know it, it will be another day. Let me know if this work for you.

Every smoker that I know (including myself) quit the same way, they became an ex-smoker one day! They threw out whatever cigarettes they had left (almost a carton in my case)
Lighters, ashtrays and thought of themselves as EX SMOKERS! No "after this pack", No "next week" No "I'm trying to quit", you just make your mind up and DO IT! There is no other way. All these other things (patch, hypnosis etc.) are just scams to separate the weak from their money.
It's not easy, but it can be done, just go cold turkey and do it, you might feel like crap for a day or two, but you will never regret it.
Think of yourself as an ex smoker.

100 days today! I smoked for 18 years, 2 packs a day and quit using chantix.
You have a feeling of accomplishment after you quit.
Good luck!!!!
