He has proven to be the king of EPL and after Mourinho came he proved that Alex was the king because he was not there as he started that before even coming while coaching Porto...

So what makes you believe he really meant that because he is now free to do what he used to do with Wenger which we now see.

I'm assuming the "King of EPL" would be the one with the Premiership Crown in their cabinet - making Sir Alex the current sovereign.

I for one believe that SAF truly relishes a challenge and is genuinely sorry that his main rival has now left.

Everybody likes to prove themselves against the best and Mourinho proved a sterner test for SAF than most, but last season he and his team rose to the challenge and regained their trophy. I'm sure he would have relished the opportunity to prove to that young pretender once again who the real King of the EPL is.

I think he was honest. After all Mourinho was the best thing that could have happened to English football. Chelsea was so competitive that the others teams had to improve to keep up. It's not an accident that in last season champions semifinal there were three English teams and one Italian, and in the last three years one of the finalists is English 2x Liverpool 1x Arsenal. When was the last time that England was so dominating in European football? Coincidence? I don't think so.

You could have done better in trying to explain yourself but nevertheless. Fergie is a winner and he loves a challenge.Mourinho did just that and I am sure Fergie was sincere when he said he would miss the challenge. In saying that dont write off Benitez and Wenger. Both teams have made a good start to the season and will be up there in May.

Of course....Sir Alex would never tell a lie.....well not one you could catch him on anyway! I honestly believe he will miss Mourinho for the simple reason that people like Ferguson, Walter Smith, Gordon Strachan and Alex McLeish, thrive on challenges.....it's part of the nature of true Scots.

I would think that he was genuine about it, as he is someone who relishes a challenge.

With Mourinho now gone it leaves the old guard of AW & SAF; so not a lot to keep SAF amused.

As to SAF having AW in his hand, we will have to wait and see, because Arsenal are heading the table at present, and without doubt have the most entertaining player in Fabregas.
