There was a time when there was no medicine and some people still survive infection or some people live longer than others. Was just thinking there should be something inside us that protects us. Any idea what it is?

i'm tossed between your bodies immune system & white blood cells, *(which in actuallity go hand in hand) one needs the other.
without those, we'd be diseased &sick all the time.
