I'm afraid you're going to have to be more specific. The Bible was written over a period of about 1500 years. Which times are we talking about? Which passage?

I can only speak to the OT,cause i know the NT is full of letters,hearsay,and changes that speak against the God of Israel from the OT...But simply,a man was a real man.He provided for His family,no questions asked,and im speaking about a man from Israel or any of the tribes of Israel...a woman,his help mate,did not work,stayed home to raise the children..The man was the head and was responsible for teaching his children about the God of Israel..They were free,had all they needed because the God of Israel provided,because they lived in His will and ways..They had feasts to Him,which nowadays are called holidays,they just lived like normal folks..ur question wasn't very specific,but thats a few things..Shalom
