i have some nagging groin pain on my right that gets worse every day and i work at UPS moving boxs for a living so i do a lot of lifting and kinda think i might have a hernia. i have a doctors appt tomorrow but i feel like an idiot going in there with nothing but groin "pain", because there is no obvious lump or anything except for small ones i have to push to feel and are symmetrical to my left side. i have been in pain for the past 4-5 days and my right side/groin felt wierd like something was out of place for a week before i felt pain..... any ideas so i know what to expect?

The doctor will ask questions about how long the pain has lasted and if you have noticed any other signs like a fever or something like that. Sometimes groin pain can be an indicator of infection.

They may also ask additional questions about your job as to how much weight you lift on a daily basis.

groin pain can occur even before a hernia appears. since your job is that of lifting heavy objects you should get a check-up. sports persons also get this and usually need surgery to reinforce the weak muscle.

it could be testicular torsion in which your testicle gets twisted and it reduces the blood flow.
