ahhhhhhhhhhh let me think............

Probably because you have a Caucasian mother.

You might want to try tanning more, lol, that might help.

Seriously, if your father was that hung up on you being full blooded mexican, then he would have never fallen in love with your mom and made you.

He is proud of you, now you need to be proud of you too.

I am part Native American (not "Indian", because India is not part of the Americas), part Scots/Irish, part English -- and mostly German. I look more native American than anything, though. So what? Many of my mostly-Scandinavian/Teutonic (that's "Swedish/Norwegian/German" for the uneducated) relatives look Native American as well, and many others do not.

You are half Mexican, yet do not "look" Mexican. So what? Just exactly what does a Mexican look like, anyway -- the Frito Bandito?

Your heritage does not reside in what you look like, it is in your upbringing and in your blood, in that order. And for the record, not all Latinos are dark-skinned, black-haired salsa dancers -- just as not all Native Americans have dark skin, black hair and know how to do a war-dance.

Just be proud of WHO you are, not what you think you should be.

you shouldnt worry about it so much, especially since there are dark mexicans and light skinned mexicans. my father was a mexican but he hailed from a part of mexico where most of the people have light brown hair and green or blue eyes (my father was light brown hair with blue eyes) plus my mother's grandfather was from spain and he was light skinned too like my mom. so i've come out looking like a full on white girl (no offense to anyone!) but i can talk spanish like a full bred mexican or colombian : )
que viva mexico cabrones!!!

i am full blooded Mexican and i have very light color skin and chestnut hair and people always second guess me cause i don't really look Mexican. they always say are you sure? like I'm joking. my friends and family make fun all the time cause i don't speak Spanish and have a lot of white friends so i guess i act white. well my bottom line is don't let it bother you, your race doesn't define who you are. embrace all the other things you are as well.

You`re mixed and you should be proud and happy with your looks. Don`t forget that as you age all your features including skin, change, but if you can`t wait to be darker try the SUN.

Its OK that you don't look like your father, maybe some day when you have kids one will look like him, also being proud of were your roots are from is not something that it is expressed by how you look,it's something you have in your heart.
I don't know if you speak Spanish but i believe that the best way to show how proud you are is by at least knowing how to speak your native language.
Suerte.

You are a human being. Drop the emphasis on ethic stuff, it leads nowhere. Dump the unhappiness, be optimistic and live a good life. Good Luck

It's not that the color of the skin most people care about, it's what is inside that counts most. Be happy with who you are. You are unique.
