INHUMAN PEOPLE OUT THERE??? How could anyone ever "wait" to take their/or someone elses dog to the Vet when it's such a despirate need??? Dear Lord, I need to pray for them and anyone else that can look a puppy or a dog in the eyes and not see love, feelings, emotions, interest, intelligence, questions, and "lets play" or "please take me for a walk?" Ugh....so sorry to vent. I suppose this is my vent night, or I just read too many frustrating questions about innocent little furry friends that aren't cared for properly. Love is all it takes. I don't think I've vented this much, ever, on ANSWERS. So sorry. I just love dogs/puppies!!

I understand what you are saying noonecanne, however, I did say....."despirately in need of a Vet". When my golden had a spot on his neck, I didn't rush to take him to the doctor. But, a broken leg, with it almost ready to fall off is a MUCH different story! (Sorry if you didn't read the other persons question about the dogs leg....if you can, please look it up). I am referring to urgent needs and even less than urgent which would be...ear infections for an example. That needs tending to asap. Our furry friends can't talk to us like humans can to tell us they are in pain.

Now you know why some of us get "rude" on these questions. I am so sick of seeing questions from people whose animals are suffering and they refuse to take it to the vet.
I agree with you. People are more cruel than any animal could ever be, yet animals are the ones being banned.

Absolutely agree. If your pet is really sick (and you're stupid if you can't realise this) why wait and type a question instead of loosing precious time to go to the vet. That's beyond me. this website is great for tips or mild condition but for goodness sake, if the pet is sick, there is only one place to go. Completely agree about cruelty but we could be here talking about it for years. I've adopted a 7 year old australian cattle dog from the pound and she was so sad that she could not even look at us and didn't care if we picked her up of not. How can someone dump a pet after 7 years together. Puppies are more resilient and will not care too much but older dogs really do get heart broken. She is one spoilt happy pet now but I still see this sadness in her eyes sometimes when maybe she hears a voice that probably sounded like his old owners or if she sees someone that maybe look like them. After the way they've treated her, she still loves them and that's a major lesson in love most people would benefit from. Anyway, yeah, some questions are really idiotic sometimes

I do understand what you are saying, but there are many times that the owner can take care of the injury without having to run to a vet. Finding a vet in the middle of the night is very expensive and many times it can wait until the next day. It is similar with people. Say that you have a case of the runs. Do you rush to the ER for treatment or do you give it some time to see if things work their way out? Some things can be best worked out with time, whether it be a dog, cat, bird or human. When my dog had an injury and reacted in a way that was very strange to her normal behavior I did take her to the vet. When she ate a lot of chocolate, I called the vet and they were able to tell me what I should do. When I slipped on my porch and hurt my wrist, I waited until the next day to call my doctor. Everything worked out just fine.

You're right & that's why there are times I can't visit this site. I'm not sure if some people just don't get it that anything that's alive -- feels. I also think there are some real sick folks out there that make up stories just to be noticed. It's like the abused kid. They go to the one that is the abuser just for any type of attention.
It's good to vent sometimes so go ahead & give em hell!

Everybody needs to vent. Some people are just too stupid to turn off the computer and go to the VET!

Amen! its common sense that if your do/puppy/cat/kitten is hurt or sick that you take it to a vet and not wait for an answer here.

I love all animals too and If mine were sick or hurting I would take them to the vet.
