Well welcome to reality. It become easier to cope with when you study it more. It's just like learning that Santa isn't real...sure it sucks at first but then you realize that its better to know the truth than to live in delusion. Life feels SOOO much better that way.

Reality is sometimes difficult to grapple with. But I think you're looking at it the wrong way...

In the event that your time on earth is all you have, don't you want to use it? Don't you want to see as much as possible, help as many people as you can, live every day to the fullest? Because the world is beautiful and only here for a short while; why not?

And why is dying any scarier now than it was before? Whether there's a heaven or not, you still have to go through the process of death. Nothing has changed in that regard. And if there is no afterlife, you don't experience anything after death: lights out. So you won't be aware, and thus there is nothing to be scared about.

Atheism is not only the only practical solution, but if you LET it be, it's also an inspiring solution.

When you come into the light, your eyes need time to adjust. The light may be blinding and even painful to look at.

The truth is the same way. Just keep following it, and eventually, your eyes will adjust. It won't be scary anymore.

Posting your vulnerability on Y!A will only bring you more disappointment.

So you watched a video? Did it have some nice music and lots of colorful light things and fade-ins and fade-outs and people that begin their name with Doctor?

They probably went through the major fallacies that most people against Christianity go through. "God is supposed to be good, but he lets suffering." "God is so powerful, but he can't get rid of sin." Christian scholars have answers (as far as I've seen) for everything that anyone has ever thrown at Christianity. I've been a Christian for maybe 10 years now (give or take), and just got through with college at a Christian school. Don't let 1 video bring you down. Research what they said on the video. Dig deeper. Then dig even deeper. You'll either find a fallacy in what they said, or an answer that shows them they're wrong.

God exists. There's no other way everything could have happened. The creation of the first amino acid, with all the factors including atmosphere, location, and necessary ingredients, is a statistical impossibility. Yeah, it's more likely that you'll win the lottery several times in a row than for life to have been created by accident. Do the math. Do research on what the atmosphere was REALLY like back when they said life started. Ask them if they have any evidence of an exact middle between apes and humans. Ask question after question after question.

Nothing has changed. You have just learned a bit more about the universe than you did before.

How you feel is really up to you, there is no god there to make you happy or sad. Find something that you think is worth doing. Whether it is bringing up your kids to be good members of society, or through helping others, or just from being you.

You do not just become dirt when you die. The actions that you took while you were alive will live on in the things that you did and in the memories of others. This is the legacy that we all can have. What do you want your legacy to be?

Think on this while you try to put your life into perspective, a drunk with a bottle is one of the happiest people on Earth. That does not mean that he is not better off without it.

Easily lead? Hebrews 2.

You should be afraid. The video you saw is too detailed. and you wish you never saw it? Cinema does not rain supreme. God does!

Can one be lead by their feelings. God is pleased by our faith!

What is fact when it comes to man and his stories of a nonexistent God?

Can one know God unless he chooses for them to know him? What is your desire?

Fear is from Satan and that brings torment.

When a person comes to God they must believe that he exist and that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

Do you diligently seek him? Are do you listen and view videos of people in this world that do not believe him and the word (BIBLE)?

The body may go back to dust but the soul and spirit goes back to the creator. Daniel 12.

Do you believe your name is written in the book of life?

What has God done for you lately? Do you have any idea what the word of God says about you? You are marvelously and wonderfully made. You are a peculiar people a holy nation chosen by God!

BERT had a great response! I agree.
Also, were you somewhat depressed before you watched the video? Perhaps it just increased a feeling you already had? I don't think anything can change your feelings. But the enemy will use all his tricks to get us to doubt and to wonder. Have faith! Believe in Christ, repent of your sins (we all sin) and rest in His love and promise of Salvation.
If you feel you must watch videos like that, then pray to God first to protect your mind and blind you to any lies. Ask Him to reveal only truths to you. Remember to put on the full armor of God each day. (Read your Bible and pray to God in Jesus name. Don't just ask for things. Ask Him what you can do for Him today.)
Take heart and remember God has already won the battle, we are just playing it out. We will be praying for you.

Ha ha
You only need to straighten up your thinking.
After death you get born again in a new body.
On and on and live to please the desires of organs.
And you die again and again in order to live again.
Death is painful.
You dont leave the ghost,
Rather YOU, leave the body.
Why be afraid, rather laugh over it,
Accept it as a reality.
Find out whether there is any way out
from this vicious circle.

This is salvation/nirvana.
Achieved through denial & freedom from desires
of flesh.

Dying is , for all of us, a fact of life. You can be scared...or...you can LIVE!

Get down to the business of living your life so fully that death doesn't even enter your mind and you will be okay!

Worrying and being scared of dying is such a waste of LIFE!

For every video like that there is one to lift your faith. Just hike on out to Walmart tomorrow and get The Case For Christ video that came out 9/11 of this year. It is fabulous! Jesus is real. You can count on it.
From the Old Testament alone, more than 2000 specific prophesies have been fulfilled.
No other so called Holy book compares.Most of the 333 prophesies concerning the Messiah were fulfilled by the birth and life of Jesus Christ and the rest will be fulfilled at His second coming. A mathematician, Peter Stoner, had his graduate students calculate what the odds would be of any one person fulfilling just eight of these prophesies. He found the chance was one in 100,000,000,000,000,000 !Only a God who knows the future could have revealed these prophesies to those that He would have record them in His Word.

In spite of what is being taught today, the truth is we can reconstruct most of the life of Jesus Christ through non - Christian writers of the first century. Even Celsus who despised Christianity, never considered claiming that Jesus Christ did not exist.This is what can be learned from the writing of Celsus...

He was born of a virgin in a small village of Judea;
He was adored by wise men;
His birth was followed by the slaughter of infants by order of Herod;
He took flight to Egypt, where Celsus supposed Christ learned the charms of the Magicians;
After returning, He resided in Nazareth;He was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended on Him as a voice was heard from heaven;
He elected disciples;
He was a friend with publicans and other low people;
He cured the lame and blind;
He raised people from the dead;
He was betrayed by Judas;
He was denied by Peter;
In addition Celsus refers to several details of Christ's passion, crucifiction, and resurrection.

Twenty seven books of the New Testament, nineteen Pagan writers, and three Jewish writers testify to Jesus Christ's historical reality. When I hear people say that Jesus or the Bible is just a myth I just realise that they are simply unaware of the facts.I recommend The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel and or Skeptics Answered or The Gate Of Hell Shall Not Prevail by D. James Kennedy, and The Signature of God by Grant R. Jeffrey. May all your thoughts be taken captive by the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Listen, do you think that the universe owes you something? Best enjoy your time here while you are alive and strive for the best, for knowledge, for those you love, and for honor.

This isn't a bad thing to not live forever, do you really want to cheapen life?

i felt that way to until i figured out this. it dosnt tell you what religion to follow but it makes it pretty clear that god should in all odds exist: Something had to come first. A factual statement being out of nothing comes nothing allows us to understand that in the beginning of all existence their has had to have been something that came first before all else. This “something” had no beginning therefore had no creator. This can be agreed upon. Now since this “something” has no creator it is plausible for this “something” to have an unlimited amount of traits. Therefore is it not much easier to believe that all we see here was created by a functioning deity rather than a large amount of energy which inexplicitly created a large bang and out of this large bang created the universe the earth, humans and all we see here today? That it has no creator? How can chaos create order? Or for that matter how can something unintelligent create something intelligent?
