Vernal and Autumnal equinoxes are spring and fall. they're called equinoxes because of the fact they the two have the comparable sunlight's direction and the comparable volume of sunlight hours. The summer time solstice has the optimal obvious direction of the sunlight and longer days shorter nights on an identical time as the wintry climate solstice has the backside obvious direction and shorter days longer nights.
