Not only is it alright, it is what everyone in the world should be doing! It'd be a great first step towards ending the obesity epidemic that's affecting the nation right now.

Now, if you're not phisically active (or weight more than 200 lbs) I don't see why you would NEED so much, but there's nothing wrong with consuming 100 oz. of water daily. I'm assuming you're spacing this throughout the day, and not gulping the five bottles one after the other (DUH!).

Now, since you asked the question, I'm also going to assume that you ARE performing some sort of sport or physical activity, in which case you probably do need 100oz of water, if not more.
In fact, dehydration affects performance, so if you're a weightlifter, long-distance runner, play basketball or any other sport which really taxes your system, then it wouldn't be a bad idea to drink a whole gallon of water daily. hope this helped.

There is such a thing as water poisoning, but it only happens if your electrolytes aren't replenished and pushed out by drinking large amounts of water in short periods of time. This has killed people before in water drinking contests, but if that's all you drink throughout the day, you're doing fine. A lot of doctors do say though that most people don't actually need the whole 64 ounces of water a day...it's kind of a ploy by water bottlers to sell more water! If you're thirsty, then drink water...if your urine is clear though, you need to stop the water for a while until your body has more waste to get rid of, otherwise when its clear that means it just passing right through your body and your just wasting your time.

I'm positive that I drink just as much if not more. I drink water in the middle of the night as well. People should drink at least that amount. It flushes out day to day toxins. It helps keep the skin, kidneys, hair, nails, blood and other parts of the body healthy. It also adds in weight control. It's a very good thing

Yes that should be fine but don't drink large amounts all at one time. Our bodies need water consistantly throughout the day.

Of course you didn't mention your size/weight because generally speaking you require 1/2 your body weight in fluid ounces of water per day. So if you were 80 lbs I would suspect that you don't require that much water unless you are extremely active.

Sure, it's perfectly ok.

If you're trying to kill yourself by water intoxication and
diluting your body’s level of sodium with too much water.
Actually, 8-12 eight ounce glasses a day is a common
recommended intake so, why drink more than that
unless you've somehow become dehydrated?

Sure. That's a bit much, but as long as you're drinking them a bit at a time, and it includes the entire day, you should be fine. The researchers say 8oz 8 times a day, which equals 64oz. You're drinking 100oz, so as long as you're spreading it over a full day, and going to the bathroom often.... shouldn't be a problem. I wouldn't go any higher though, unless you workout hard and long.

1/2 ounce per pound of body weight if you're not active (that's ten eight-ounce glasses if you weigh 160 pounds), and 2/3 ounce per pound if you're athletic (13 to 14 glasses a day, at the same weight). for adults. but yea, ur doing GREAT keep drinking water!

Yup. Sounds very healthy as that's about a litre more than the recommended daily water intake. Good for you. I wish I could do that.

I wouldn't see why not I drink about 4 thirty two oz cups of it a day. Water is good for you as long as you urinate while drinking it and don't retain it or hold it.

You need to drink half your weight in ounces of water a day.
