Shouldn't you try that? I don't mean you are not welcome in Religion and Spirituality section, I was just wondering...

Wow... I have to laugh.

Actually, I prefer them to be here, so I welcome them all. Without doubt, there is no thought. Without thought, there is no growth. Without growth there is only stagnation. And stagnation of the mind is death of the spirit.

I am agnostic. I can see both sides, and understand the rationale for both. Personal experiences keep me from being atheist, and acted to confirm for me that a sort of ... agnostic/pagan-ish path is correct for me. That doesn't mean I don't also acknowledge that those experiences could very well have been random neuronal firings.

Sanity and faith are perfectly compatible.

Yes we know that there is a Science and Mathematics section in Y!A.......we would just rather debate our ideas and opinions here instead......I think some of us just love pissing off christians off though.....sorry but some of you guys are just such easy targets....you get offended at every little thing I'm glad to see that some are willing to actually discuss and debate their beliefs in a civilized manner without "Blasphemer!!!!!" and "you will burn in hell for your sinful words" being their only comebacks.

wow.. this is one of the most ridiculous things i've seen today. atheism concerns religion, even though the principle behind it is having a lack thereof. therefore atheists are indeed very welcome here in this section, as is anyone else interested in the topic...excluding, of course the idiots and bigots out there who think that everyone with beliefs unlike their own is a bad person who is going to hell.

Why should I try the science and mathematics section, I'm not very good at those subjects. Besides, it's more fun here. Wouldn't you like to try the mythology and folklore section?

Hey, we know. You need to tell all the Christians who, for some weird reason, come here to R&S to ask questions about evolution, planet formation, radiioactive dating, etc.

It is almost like they do not want a real scientific answer, but by asking a (often stupid) question feel that they can walk away with their non-scientific and false pre-conceptions intact.

Notice that the Christians are the ones who always bring up science and bash it...

Please let the fundies know that. They are the ones always asking questions about evolution in the religion section.
This is a variation of "why are atheists in the R&S section?" so I say *cheers*!

BTW- Since you know this why did you ask a question titled "Science" in the R&S section just a few minutes ago?

Interesting that you believe atheists have superior science and math skills.

Well, I'm neither a scientist or mathematician - I'm a historian. And yes, sometimes I go over to the history section.

Why would I want to go to a section just because you make assumptions?

Just because I don't follow any of the gods of Organized Religion (TM) doesn't mean I don't have religious or spiritual thoughts.
