I just want to live my life doing the best I can. I don't want to so anything sinful, or bad in anyway. I also want to not worry about religion, or praying to anyone or anything. Can I just go through life like this and still go to "heaven" or at least not go to "hell"?

I've been doing it for years now. Works for me.

Of course, some will tell you that I'm going to hell, but it's all moot. Don't believe in the place.

Heaven and Hell is based on the bible. The same bible that all Christians believe no matter what denomination they are. Most other religions are based on some actual human being. Yes the bible was written by man but all of it is inspired from God. So, no you cannot live life the way you would like and still get into heaven once you die. If you want to be saved from hell then accept Jesus into your heart and live for him. The devil is very deceitful and will do anything to turn people away from God and distort what He is all about. When judgement day comes, you will want to have your soul saved. So, not all good people get into heaven.

Yes you can. It's not difficult to be just a "good" person. But i dont know how long you can do good and how good.
The reason I say that, I have a father and also a husband like that. They both get annoyed easily.
They both smart ,they both clever but they also look at things from their own perspective only, it's really too thin for my standard.
Both of them always live in logic, so when they saw something illogic (to their standard), they're getting sinical, but many times those illogic turned them in shame, because lots of those illogic have higher value meaning so it's highly appreciated and nobled, made the 2 of them look like ashes. That's hurt, not only hurt but hitting their pride/ dignity.

OK. It's only a suggestion.
You dont need religion if you dont want to,
You dont need Jesus for sure, I dont use Jesus as my savior and I am quite allright anyway,
I am not scared of being sent to hell either, that's not my right to say where I should go,

My suggestion is do a ZEN . Practice a ZEN.
It's only a practice so you can put yourself in other people's prepective.
That way you can ignore what people do with their believe/ disbelieve.
You dont get annoyed easily when you see others being illogic (yr standard of logic).

The world would be better off if more people lived the way you propose. To base placement in heaven or hell on the level of someone's worship seems very egotistical. It's like being a teacher and giving A's only to the kids who do good work and like you and F's to the kids who do good work but don't like you. If there is a god, I hope he's not so small minded.

Depends on your personal belief system. If you believe in the Holy Book, no. According to the Bible, we're born sinful. If you believe in God and chose not to believe in or follow an organized religion, then possibilities open up in regards to how God will judge you. I personally do not subscribe to religious doctrine but I VERY much believe in God and I offer up my personal blessings to Him. I also believe Jesus existed & he was a prophet but not the son of God (I know people are going to be pissed by that last statement but remember, the Holy Book preaches tolerance). But I can honestly say this. I've lived my life helping people and being a "good person" (no narcotics or alcohol, volunteering at the church for outside projects that help the community, being faithful in all my relationships, etc.) and its appalling to me how a large plurality of the faithful sin from Mon. to Sat. (adultery, gossip, taking the Lord's name in vain, stealing, etc.), go to church on Sunday and have the gall to call me a heathen...

According to the Bible, being a good person is a good thing, but you still will have to be "Saved" If you live your life as best you can doing good, it isnt that much harder to live it for Jesus. I would rather live it for Him and find out that there wasnt any Heaven, than to not live for Him and find out there is a Hell.

No need to worry my friend. You don't even HAVE to be a good person. You can go kick twenty puppies to death, jerk off in the Vatican, wipe your a$s with pages of the Bible, pound somebodies face in, rape a goose, push old ladies into the street when they ask you to help them cross it, and STILL...STILL you can make it into heaven if you just repent....on your death bed as long as you mean it. Isn't heaven going to be great with all of the above ******* up there. I don't know about you...but I might take my chances with hell.

You can do anything you want to, but the Truth of the Bible will one day be clearly seen. Living for Jesus isn't difficult, it is an admission of guilt and recognition of a need for a Savior. I can be as good as I can, but I will still sin. That sin. must be dealt with...Jesus dealt with it on the cross.

Well, first of all, no one can be "good." (yes, I'm splitting hairs here).

But we can try to be ethical and moral. There are some really upstanding, ethical atheists.

But the whole point of the gospel is that being "good" isn't what saves us. It's being "born again." Good or bad has NOTHING to do with it. True, if you're a Christian, you will desire to do good, more and more, but ultimately, it's Jesus who saves us.

The scriptures say that there is one way to Heaven, and that's Jesus Christ.

Not if the Bible is true. The Bible says, "Pure religion and undefiled before the father is this; to visit the widows in their affliction and to keep ones self unspotted from the world." "Everybody" wants to be saved on their own terms, but that is not an option.
