Using fear to get your point across is a form of bullying, isn't it?

The additional irony comes from the fact that their God is supposed to be all-loving and forgiving.

Yes it is and this is how Christianity has had its chance to spread. Many Christians are Christians due to the simple fear of being to scared of burning in hell for eternity, and so they believe out of fear.

Christians are sinners too, and a real believer won't deny this. And no, we won't be able to sin persistently if we have faith. we are "held" back from it, or shown the blunders of our procedures, our ethical experience being our witness. we choose then to repent, and seek for forgiveness, and vow to not do it lower back. If we do it lower back in spite of each thing of that....then we are able to be taken with the aid of hell, earlier we are forgiven. many those that prefer to "declare" Christ as their saviour are in basic terms hiding (they think of) below a veil of righteousness. those are persons that could supply Christ a bad call, and blaspheme his holy call. they have their motives i'm particular. yet attempt to not look on those as your occasion to persist with. examine the be conscious for your self, then do as you already know. you would be brought about the genuine believers, and locate that persons which you have seen, stated above, are of little effect to the genuine christians. God has motives for those varieties to boot. i think of this is to sift out the genuine seekers, and persons that could only look on the floor, or persons that could seem to guy as their occasion, somewhat than to the understand God.

Because it is a fact.. if the prospect of being judged by God scares you, then change the way you are living!

We will be judged for how we live our lives. If you are convicted guilty of sin, God will put you into jail (hell) - but, if you have accepted Jesus's offer of "bail money" to get you out of jail, then you don't have to go there.

God is all loving, but sin is a serious offense. That is why he came to earth to die - he cannot wink at the wickedness of the human heart that has the capability to rape and murder and destroy. It is a serious matter that required the intervention of God to rescue us.

Bullying here on earth means you are not perfect and are trying to make yourself look better. Christ is perfect and doesn't need to bully anyone. Christ says you need to fear Him to serve Him. Once Judgement Day does come you actually will be really scared if you are still here.

I think if you had a son who was like 9 or 10 and he kept walking up the elderly men and knocking their glasses off by smacking them in the face, you would tell them they could be arrested. Would that be bullying too? I'm serious this has happened to someone I know

Yepper and He is all righteous and just too - can't have one without the other you know?

Judgment Day is a promise from God to you. Christians merely recognize and repeat it.

A fearful day it will be.

they're just trying to share with you the message of God's unconditional love! God loves everyone. That's why everyone who isn't a Christian will burn in hell for eternity. Yes, God truly is love. See, he doesn't want anyone to burn in hell! But that doesn't mean he can just let anyone into heaven. Hindus for example, are all going to burn in hell for the sin of not being Christian. Yes, God is completely just and loving.

i have only been attending a Christian church for a year, but before i started attending no one tried to scare me with judgement day.
maybe other people do what u said tho because they are trying to stress that we need Christ to save us. i disagree with that method though.
