Can karma be applied to Christianity?
I think that if you are a good person and you are honest, caring, loving and kind, God will give it back to you but instead of in the next life, like what Hindu believes, he gives it to you in this life.

Or vise versa, if you are mean, corruptive and angry all the time, God will give it back to you.

What do you think? Is it possible to apply karma to christianity?

Okay....here are some examples.

I think I am a pretty good person. I can't live with bad things on my concious. I mean...I do occasionally beat my brother up or cuss or whatever....but things have been happening to me latley that just don't justify that karma exists within christianity. My parents have been fighting, I've been really stressed, people are hassling me, and I am really shy so I have trouble talking and meeting new people.

I just don't understand?
I also see people who are complete jerks who are varsity althetes, with girlfriends, fourtune, a great family, friends, and are AP scholors.

I just don't understand...

Yes...it's called the golden rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

Gnostic Christianity, Rosicrucianism and Spiritism-based Christianity have adopted the Buddhist/Hindu view of Reincarnation.

But 'you reap what you sow' is really a seperatist pattern of behavior (or seperation from God) and not a divine law.

In God's kindgom, angels have the ability to experience creation all at once, (it's called trancendence) so why would they need to evolve better than they already are..being perfect and all. Quite simply, the law of cause and effect has long since become obsolete to make room for higher laws by the time we enter heaven.

Karma and Christianity cannot coincide and are two different things. Karma is based on good works. You create your own destiny. What do you need Jesus for in that? Christianity is based on your faith in Jesus. The Bible says you can't get to heaven based on works. You need a relationship w/ Jesus. Jesus is what gets you into heaven. Karma derives from eastern Indian religions. Alot of eastern religions you obtain a higher spiritual place by what you do as you transcend different levels. This contradicts the Bible.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
**************************
The word karma is simply a COPYCAT word which was imagined by man, and in vain, attempts to describe and even falsely create another man-made doctrine called karma.

The existing SPIRITUAL LAW THAT GOD ORDAINED, and that has ALREADY BEEN IN EFFECT since the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden, is called the LAW OF SEED TIME AND HARVEST as clearly described in Galatians 6:7.

It is NOT called karma, and it did NOT come from man, it is a SPIRITUAL LAW THAT WAS CREATED BY GOD ALMIGHTY.

You reap what you sow. The seeds (or actions and decisions) we plant ( IN OUR LIFE) will grow whether that seed is good or bad. The GOOD SEED will live and prosper. The BAD SEED will corrupt and die. If you sow seeds of Love, you'll reap a crop of Love in your life. IT WILL COME BACK TO YOU. If you sow seeds of hate, you'll reap a crop of hate in your life. IT WILL COME BACK TO YOU.

This LAW applies to believers and unbelievers alike. No one is immunue from this law, like no one is immune from the laws of gravity. It affects each and every person, whether they believe it or not.

Gods Spiritual laws of sowing and reaping were predestined LONG BEFORE the word karma was imagined.
********************************************************
The same law applies in MATTHEW 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Looks like "karma" to me:

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

God deals only with your soul. We tend to look at our bodies and what happens to us here on earth as having meaning, but only the soul is eternal.

No - it definitely does not exist in Christianity. I quote '...and in as much as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

i think of that many times we do gain what we sow, yet i'm chuffed that that's no longer constantly the case. i think of that our judgements set issues into action and till that's interrupted it may desire to hold by using till the top.
