God magically made it happen, or did the laws of physics just not apply in those days?

48 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. 49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.

He would have likely fell forward due to the weight of his equipment. Can't be sure but he would most likely carry more armor in front.

God never uses "magic" so no on the magic. God established David as a Shepard and therefore also established him to be a crack shot with a sling. David knew he could take down Goliath.

Goliath was so big and heavy David knew Goliath could never even catch him. It was just a matter of time before David got him, David was the better tactician. Goliath with the heavy armor really only had an advantage in an organized battle. Goliath had a major disadvantage one on one against an expert with a sling.

That doesn’t take away from the fact David was also very brave and a man of faith.

And ".......The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground. " 1 Samuel 17:49

So yes he fell forward.

So you scientifically checked to see if everytime a person is hit with a projectile, including a bullet, they always fall backwards?

Doesn't it even matter that the Philistine was moving closer toward David? Doesn't that say that the Philistine had forward momentum? Think more before making up these "magical" questions!

The Philistines were moving forward. When the stone struck Goliath his forward momentum carried him forward.

Furthermore, the impact of a projectile is seldom enough to actually push you in the direction of the projectile.

Bear with me a Little Lindsey....The Impact of the Stone Given the Velocity of coming at this Giant at well over 100 mph was enough to turn his head at a 90 Degree Angle thereby turning his body away from the trajectory and sending him head face into the Earth..Its elementary My Dear Watson.

Face down is not the same as falling forwards. See boxing? Likewise, a body blow is not the same as a targeted impact. Shoot someone in the head and they can fall in any direction, depending on the stance of the victim.

It didn't say he didn't stumble around in circles first.

Besides these men were only 8 or 9 feet tall not 30 feet tall, so there fall would be like yoa ming falling.

it was just a stone not a boulder. He wobbled probably then fell to the ground. Chances are if I threw a rock at you, the same thing would happen. Rock 3 pounds max...your body 160 pounds I say 50/50.

I think probably G was leaning forward in a battle stance. Or maybe doubled over laughing at a presumtious shepherd boy. If he fell backwards I think the Bible would say it.
