i known her since the 9th grade and now she has started college. we know each other and i always liked her but was always shy and nervous around her so never actually hung out or even had a conversation with her except online.

Well she is in college and she is very BUSY--you can ask her for lunch or coffee and see how she responds to your invite--see how life is going for her and that is what you base it all on--she is a student trying to get an education for her future life--she won't be too interested in you--especially if you have nothing to offer her. So I guess you better look for a girl that is more your speed and see how that goes. If you and the college girl are not on the same level mentally--you will be a drag on her--Avoid the disappointment and forget about it.

Geez, you shy guys. . .Start talking. Walk up and say hi. Ask if she remembers you? Ask about her classes. . .her schedule. . .what she likes music, etc. Find something she likes that you like or a movie she wants to see and ask her to go with you because you'd like to see it too. Or whatever works. . .Just start talking. . .Once you start, it gets easier and easier. Stop telling yourself you're shy and can't and when that feeling starts, push it away and concentrate on learning more about the person your talking to. Everyone starts out shy but the more you talk, the easier it gets till you look back at yourself and laugh. Talk to everyone, start right now and you'll just get over it. Really. . .It's easy not to be shy. And be sure you stand straight, shoulder's back, head up and look her in the eye. You'll look confident even if your stomach is jelly. And practice talking to a few strangers first or classmates. You're going to be so mad at yourself for wasting all that time thinking you were shy. It's just like anything else in life. You don't know how to do things until you do them Just go for it. Lots of luck. Your about to start having a much better time. . .

if you planning to ask her to a movies or something, dont just walk straight to her. when she walks somewhere hide. then when she is near your, but not so near, come out a walk past her and say hi or hello and make a small convesation with her then ask her to go with you somewhere like the movies or something.
