Probably a kidney infection. Kidney stones are excruciatingly painful. I have seen grown men curl up and roll on the floor when a kidney stone is moving. I do believe you would have been at the emergency room if you were having pain from kidney stones.

Heck YES! I had one and it was no fun. Get to the ER right now, because a kidney infection can kill you. Mine kept me in the hospital for 3 1/2 days, and I have never been so sick in my life. And the vomiting is a BIG clue. See a Dr now!

If it is kidney stones then plenty of water will help for the pain.

Sounds like it is probably something else. A sharp, stinging and stabbing pain in your lower back often means kidney stones.

You could possibly have a kidney infection. You need to see the Dr.

yeppers, that's what it sound like. Drink more water to help pass it. As long as the stone is sitting still, you will not feel it. When it starts to move, then the sharp edges on the stone rub against the ureters and urethra and that is when it hurts. So, if you passed it great!! Keep drinking water and call a dr to schedule an appt. If not, then welcome to the womans world of almost feeling like you are passing a baby.
