Well a similar thing like that happened to me 2 weeks ago. A cute guy in my science class noticed that i was freaking out over a dtention slip. I knew i hadnt done anything, but he asked me why i got one. I told him i was upset about it and to try and cheer me up, he said "well at least we can have detention together". it was a stupid comment, kinda funny, and it did make me feel better.
now we talk to each other sometimes during class and flirt in the hallway. I show i am interested by looking him in the eye when he talks to me, but not to much to be creepy, and a couple of touches on the shoulder or wrist or arm or something. I smile when i see him and smile when i leave. For sure i make sure i look interested in what hes saying, whether or not i am.
Now to take it a step further, i am inviting him to my birthday. I really wanna see if he will take the time to at least rsvp, even if he cant come. that way i know he likes me enough to keep up the flirting/talking

I just look a little longer than normally necessary if I want them to know I'm looking at them. . .And I will ask you about yourself because I want to know more. . .If you look back at me and ask about me (we've moved from asking my opinion to more personal stuff) and you keep looking. . .we'll both know.
