i have natural oily skin like my mother.. so i deal with break-outs constantly. it would depend if you're out to buy a facial product or a home-made remedy. i use bio`re pore unclogging mask. it's around five dollars, depends on where you get it. but it worked on my skin, i guess it varies on your skin type. as for homemade remedies, crack open an egg and pour only the egg white into a small bowl. whisk it until frothy, and smear onto your face. [people think it's disgusting.. it's not, really. the smell is quite pleasant.] wait till it dries off, and wash it off with cold water. [to close pores] i hope this is some sort of help for you!

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.
In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.
Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.
In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.
If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

If you need a quick fix, try this: Take some toothpaste, or baking soda, make a paste, and apply it to the zit/pimple before you go to bed--it will zap it!
Also, if you need to get the red out of the pimple as well, take some Visine and apply -- the redness disappears within 15-20 minutes.
It also helps to take a hot/warm wet washcloth and apply it to the affected area for 15-20 minutes. It opens up your pores and helps get the gunk out without popping the zit!

The key is to keep your skin clean.
Keep your hair away from your forehead.
I know everyone says not too, but I will sqeeze any pimples I get (with clean hands) and apply a good mask for oily skin (kiehls rare earth mask is what I use) and continue with the mask every other day until its gone.
Also be sure to keep a good regimen of washing your face.
Cleanse, tone and moisturize twice a day.
And be sure not to touch your face unless your hands have been freshly washed.

Another easy home remedy is an asprin mask. You just take 6 or so asprin in a small bowl and put a little water on them- like 5 drops. They will dissolve really fast and you can add water to make it whatever consistancy you want. Just put it on your face and let it sit until dry. Then just rinse it off with warm water. Good Luck!
oh and if you start sneezing it's time to take it off- not sure why it does this but once you rinse it the sneezing will stop!

ok well DONT touch/pick at them at all! use rubbing alchol on a cotton ball b4 u go to bed and use that on the affected area (it will get rid of the redness) and then put a thin layer of just plain toothpaste of the whole affected area. change ur pillow cases every couple nightsand if u have a facial mask use that once a week. but if that doesnt work, go pick up some products at a drugstore, i suggest getting clean and clear persa gel 10. its amazing stuff and it costs like 5 bucks : ]

As a home remedy you can put toothpaste on them over night. That helps. Or you can boil water and put your face over it. It's like a sona and it clears your pores. Stay away from greasy foods. Always use a gentle face wash everyday. Hope I help. Don't worry, it happens to everyone.

for home remedy, get some fresh tomatoes or avocado pear and apply all over the face. leave on for 30mins and rinse off or wear over night.
if it doesnt work, you'll need to get one of these acne treatment lotions , try Mary kay acne treatment lotion. Also get a salicyclic cleanser for daily use.
