It is very sad to see good hardworking illegal immigrants worrying about deportation. I know people who work and do everything a regular family does; family re-unions and go on trips. Why is this issue not being addresed on a different perspective view, amnesty should be awarded to SOME people. Those who have worked and have no felonies. Im not saying that everyone should get amnesty, but what im saying is that most illegals have worked and called themselves citizens espicially if they've been here 20+ years. Oh and another question can someone under the age of 18 get amnesty if they've been here since 1-2 years old and plan to go to college.? please don't give me any "marry a whiteguy, or invest in $1 million for a business(whichi think is the most retarded thing congress has done in the immigration problem)

Let me start by saying that "volleyballchick" is completely wrong and ignorant. I have family that came here legally and i personally know ppl that aren't legal and i can tell you that they're hard working ppl, and HAVE NOT COMMITTED ANY CRIMES! they or should i say we came here for a better life, we're human beings as well, i can't stand it when ppl are ignorant by saying things like that. How about you do some research??? Ugh anywho i agree with you Armando, a lot of ppl do come here to work, and it sucks that when kids graduate from high school and have good grade and have never gotten in trouble aren't able to go to college, it's like their dreams get crushed or a door gets slammed on their faces. I do understand though that there are ppl that commit crimes however we shouldn't all pay for their mistakes and get judged because they do things they shouldn't be doing. So Kudos to you for way of thinking! Best wishes to you! Ignorant ppl suck! :)

I am sorry to tel you but they have broke the law by entering here illegally.

It doesnt matter if they have been here a long time or not it just means that they have most likley broke more laws in order to be here that long, like working illegally.

We have already done the amnesty plan and look at where it got us. We are just right back at the same problem we had in the 80's.

If they had come her legally and done things the right way they wouldnt have to worry about deportation. I agree we want the hard working people who dont commit crimes so they should go back to their country and apply the legal way. Why would that be such a bad thing to do?

Yet another classic example of right brain vs left brain. Some use their head, and some just feel.

example 1-- family re-unions? do they go back to Mexico for those functions?
example 2--they work. Everyone that I personally know works or is retired
example 3--they call themselves citizens. So they are liars as well?
example 4--they have no felonies. They have in-fact broke at least 1 federal law.

I could go on and on picking your post apart, but I won't.

All of those who want to become legal need to take the initiative and contact an immigration attorney. There are many paths to citizenship not just the 2 you list. If they are as hard working as they claim to be, they should be able to do this and not expect to have it just handed to them for nothing.

No felonies? There isn't an illegal in this nation that hasn't committed at least one felony - since they broke FEDERAL LAW by entering/remaining in this nation illegally!!!!

Deport them all - if they can't respect our laws enough to follow them, why should I care about them and their families? It may seem like an uncaring stance, but they obviously don't give a damn about my daughter's future. If they did, then they would be following the laws of the land and file the proper papers to get into the nation. . .

No. If you were brought into this country and were only a day old, you are here illegally- regardless of your intentions. Personally, I don't agree with this, but, it is currently the law.

Research the Dream Act and encourage people to sign it.

I agree that some people should be able to stay here, but, our government can't pick and choose who- there are simply too many.
