If God can see the future, that means he can't do something that would change the future, otherwise the vision of the future would be incorect. Isnt' this a paradox?

thats not how it works God doesnt see the future as we interperet seeing into the future. The concept of God is he is an eternal being that has always existed. he exists in or rather outside of past present and future. so by this he is in no way bind by time. The things in scripture are not prochecies on his part, the events the bible speaks of have already hapened from his view point. they were things of prophecy to the people the visions where given to. that are bound by the 4 dimensions of our existance. well thats how it is basically.

Its not a paradox at all.

God exists outside of time and space in 'eternity'. As God is not within the realm of time and space he is not bound by the constraints of time.

So God is able view time in a completely different way to us, he can see time from beginning to end, whereas we who are bound by it can only see what is happening at this moment.

Pretend that time is a ruler, we are on the ruler and can only see and experience what is happening where we are. God however is not on the ruler, he is seperate to it, he can see the full length of the ruler from start to finish. So he can see what the people are doing now, and an inch further down and an inch further down and so on.

So the fact that God knows all that we will do, and what we will choose, and how the world will end, isn't because he is taking away our free will, but because he can see all of time at once, and thus can see everything we choose.

This is a good question. And it leads to one simple answer.

How much free will do we truly have.

If some people claim that we are already saved, hes already written our names in the book of the saved and all this stuff. How much free will do we really have and why are we on this earth?? It's a game thats why lol.

Look at the story of Job, here we have God and the devil making a bet on torchering a man!

God is a contradictory concept of the imagination, therefore it cannot exist in reality. Reality admits no contradictions. If we ascribe the qualities of omnipotence and omniscience to any entity, including those that are imaginary, we contradict reality.

If an entity can do everything, knowledge is unncessary. If there is something an entity cannot do, then knowledge is necessary, but the entity is not omnipotent.

God knows the future because he has already been there and knows it. Imagine time as a line on a page, God is all the space around the line. He exists at the same time all along the time line because he is outside of it. Just because he knows what you are going to do does not mean he forces you to do it. Just because you know what the ending of a movie is does not mean you forced it to happen, it just means you have already seen it.

When we see children playing ball near a road, and the ball goes into the street, we know what will happen, does that mean a child loses his free will?

Just because someone (me, you, or God) is smart enough to know whats gonna happen does not take away free will.

We even have computers that predict weather, wars, and other things, does that mean the computer takes away our free will?

No. We have a choice, but God is so smart he see us like we see a child chasing a ball into the street.

God knows the future, he makes the CHOICE to not change the future as he gave free will and will not be a liar and interfere with that free will.

You could say he knew all possible futures and therefore picked the ideal actions that he would take at every point in history to ensure the best possible outcome before he even started.

If you were god, nothing is impossible. When god sees the future, of course he can do something to change it but he won't. Because he gave us the latitude to control our own destiny and discourage us from using his name as excuse for our own frailty.

That's one definition of free. But, is there something outside of God deciding what he will do? Then he is unconstrained; free.

But omniscient creator rules out a creation (like humanity) with free will.

But I'm Agnostic.
