Non-Custodial Parent Biased Double Standard?

Why is it that if a poor custodial mom cannot make ends meet, we offer her assistance? And if an impoverished noncustodial dad has the same problems, we make him a criminal?

The custodial parent has to make enough money to pay living expenses and daycare, or stay home and watch the kid. The non-custodial parent doesn't have the kid there, so there's no excuse not to be gainfully employed.

Because this isn't the typical case and you know it. If you don't want to be responsible financially for your reproduction, then get yourself fixed or abstain.
