Please try to relax.
Regular sodas contain about 150 calories per 12 ounce serving, or more. Get a "big gulp" or the 44 ounce soda at McDonalds and you're pouring 500 calories or more into your system.
And how many people go back and get that second refill.
Fast food is not low cal to begin with, but its not the fries that get you, its the thousand calories of sugar you ingest from the soda fountain.
Whatever allergic reactions or senstitivites people may have are probably less of a health threat than the obesity and diabetes that all this soda can lead to.

I preach it too. There are quite a few organic juice brands out there which I consider a godsend, i.e., Santa Cruz Organics, Honest Tea. Also, stevia is a good substitute for sugar addicts - there is plenty of info on the web about the stuff, great addition in some homemade herbal teas.

I drink diet / sugar free drinks, but i dont drink them all the time. Unfortunatley alot of food and drink is full of bad chemicals. I dont smoke so i figure that one or two diet drinks in a week is better than a packet of cigarettes a day

I usually don't drink that stuff; I prefer a regular Coca-Cola. I think I learned that Diet Coke or Pepsi has saccharine, which I think is a carcinogen.
