God isn't even close to being perfect. He's screwing up all the time in the Bible. In scripture after scripture, He admits to losing his temper, being wrathful, vengeful, jealous, racist and He WANTS us to fear him. Added to that is the fact that He also lies, orders His people to commit genocide on several occasions, condones and encourages the rape of women and the murder of innocent babies and then tries to convince everybody that's He's loving and merciful. If you knew a human man who acted like that, would you say that guy was perfect or would you say He sounds more like.........Hitler?

It's not a bad question, but think about it. We get our understanding from God. If He's not dependable, then how do we know our own understanding is dependable? How do I know that my understanding of God's perfection is not more flawed than God's perfection in the first place? Like the telephone game, the answer never gets better because it's passed farther down the line.
Contact me personally to talk more. Good question.

If I didn't think that God was perfect, I would find myself worshipping a human, and I could think of a few humans I would worship, however:
God must be flawless, or else my faith in Him and His works would falter. He made me perfect, so I believe I can be perfect.
He made His Son perfect, so I can look to Jesus as the perfect example.
His Book is perfect, so whenever I go to His Book, I can be assured I will find the answer.
He made the world around me perfect, so I can relax and have faith and comfort in my surroundings as He made them.
And finally, He is perfect, so whatever I ask of Him I can be assured it will be heard and heeded perfectly.
The alternative to this belief system is to believe in a flawed God, where I would not be able to have confidence in even my own surroundings enough to go on.
Ah, I tried, anyway.

Well God doesn't sin. God in ominscent. In the Bible it says God cannot allow sin to enter Heaven. If God isn't pefect then the whole bible and the world as we know it has no reason for being here. Why doesnt the world just fall into chaos? God doesnt let it. God uses our sin to test us and uses it to help us. The only reason that we know God is perfect is through the Bible. Beyond that is beyond what God wants us to know. That is where faith comes in. God gives you the choice of believing in Him or not. Why did He do that? Ask Him instead of me.

It is impossible for God to be anything but perfect. He's God...He who holds the universe in His hands makes all the laws for the universe, whether those laws are physics, chemistry, engineering, cell structure, whatever. He's not going to be anything but perfect, anywhere, ever. I'm sorry I don't feel like I'm offering a very good answer. It's a little too broad for me.

Any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable; from one who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god

I already answered it. Didn't the answer print? It was a long
dissertation about how God made a mistake-ONCE.
No, I don't want to repeat it all.

Jesus Christ himself told us that God is perfect... and being the Only Begotten Son, he would know more than the rest of us!
