Doesn't that make him a hypocrite. He should of all people understand the benefits of getting high. I love my dope, its a part of my life now, im never going to stop.

Depends on how much and often your dad smokes it. I still do once in a while as a painkiller. I've never been high in front of now grown kids and I would have no problem kicking their %$# if I found out they were smoking it just to get high. Your dad is an adult, I'm guessing you are not. "I love my dope" is the reason you should stop now before it takes control of your life

Your Father may be a hypocrite but it doesn't make pot any less dangerous or bad. Pot will, literally, destroy you mentally, emotionally, and physically. Just stay away from it.
The only benefit is a transitory good feeling. It fools the mind into feeling and thinking things that aren't real. My Dad smokes too and, trust me, don't go down that path.
He, of all people, has a right to tell you whether it is good or not. Think about it...if he says not to do it, don't do it.
Regardless, just stay away from the stuff. Trust me on this...

helluva answer vtvermont !ill give you a good rating on that ! you know too i see. i know its gonna be a answer youll not want to hear and youve heard it already so ill put it in a different way. being a exsmoker of many years i know where your at. so does your dad . smoking pot has its advantages but the bad outweighs the good severely healthwise, financially, and all that other legal crap that you think will never be of any use to you . yeah sure it chills you out , makes you feel good and"more into things" , you think it makes you concentrate deeper and clearer (while your still standing around 20 mins later trying to make up your mind !)been there done that . so has your dad .get the picture ? what if your in a accident and was the driver ? thats a automatic D.U.I plus whatever charges that someone can bring up against you .and as far as a job .....hope you like being a laborer,working for nothing all week just to blow it one night out . then your broke all next week trying to make it to friday . been there done that . so has your dad i bet
you referring to marijuana as "dope" kinda tells on yourself. it does grow wild and its not made up in some lab somewhere like real DOPE . people who abuse marijuana makes it dope because they start acting like its the only thing that keeps them going . I say nope to dope. Kills brain cells and smells like crap. Very unattractive and has way too many harmful side affects. Maybe when you go to smoke pot you should think about how everday you're subtracting days from living ...more pot the faster the death. Are you one to WANT cancer?
Your dad is a hypocrite, and he doesn't set the best example either. Yes he has a right, you live under his roof, he helped made you... that's how dads are suppose to be. He is probably trying to keep you from being like him. Drugs change people for the worse and just screw up their lives.

I think when your a father you want whats best for your kid. He knows first hand the effects that pot had on his life. he probably just doesn't want you to end up like him.
