What I mean is this:
are any of the rituals from the JEWISH law? Does your church teach tithes? Do you have one person who stands in fron of the congregation, like the Law of Moses had a Levite do? Does your church ignore the teaching of how it is to be when Christians congregate, as taught in 1 Cor. 14?
Do you, as a group practice memorized prayer?
Do you have figures of Christ on a cross? Paintings of early Christians (the 'saints' or Mary)..
Are not the words of Christ enough for us to understand:
Ask me not anything any more, but ask the Father, who is in heaven, in my name.
Where is it understood of that, that we should pray to long dead humans who were saved sinners such as ourselves?

For those who could not see the meaning or humor in the term 'brand' (used in quotes for a reason)
I decided to use that tern instead of Sects or other term describing division, which is spoken ill of in 1 Cor. (some say I am of paul or of apollus, or cehpus. Is Christ divided? Did Paul die for you?).
We have, in the Realm of Christianity:
Lutheran (various synods), Baptist (various councils), Methodist, Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Penacostal, Church of Christ, Assembly of God, 7th Day Adventists and MANY others.

Some would put Catholic on that list. The Jehova's Wtnesses and Mormons would like to include themselves, too, but they are, in fact, outside of Christianity, due to their Heretical doctrines.

Obviously the word brand offended, sorry about that.

The Old Covenant Laws are NOT applicable to New Covenant Christians today. The Apostle Paul was reared as a devout Israelite - a chief Pharisee and had to give it all up to become a Christian, at God's prompting. "Tithing" was a practice for the agricultural society of Old Testament Israel.
"Speaking in tongues", is nothing other, than speaking a foreign language of another country. It is not the "jibber - jabber" done, as is the practices of some. As far as, praying to "long dead humans" - no human being should be prayed to nor worshipped (not even, Ladamian Tomlinson of the Chargers - LOL ) !!!

I see, you have a concept of heresy because you consider that the Mormons etc.are heretics. Very good.

Well, you do realize that the Catholics consider that you are all heretics. In fact, I've heard a Catholic friend (jokingly) say that there are many "brands" out there but only 1 guarantee --- viz. The Catholic Church. :)

Now, I know this wont offend anyone because it is extremely well known the the Catholic Church teaches the doctrine of "No salvation outside the Church".

I hope this helps.

Your question is far to pregnant with meaning to answer properly here in this forum. The Christian Church follows Jesus, not Jewish law. The things you've mentioned (most of them) do not apply to 'following'.....A Jewish law. For instance, saying the Lord's Prayer together, is not following the Jewish law. Jesus taught his disciples how to pray and we are His disciples so we pray as he taught. It sounds as if you are describing a Catholic Church. The Catholic Church does teach things that we Protestant do not observe. We don't find them taught in the Bible. But that doesn't make the worshipers in the Catholic Church any less Christian than the rest of us.

We must be careful not to judge others in regard to how the worship. Jesus says, "If they are not against us, they are for us." Man's laws tend to divide us, it's a shame. We need to practice what Jesus tought, "Love as I have loved you." and "Love your neighbor as yourself." If all 'churches/sects/brands (as you said), obeyed these simple teachings, it really wouldn't matter if one 'sect/brand' had saints pictures on the wall, or washed another feet, or spoke in tongues, or set in a circle and prayed together. Love covers a multitude of 'critical spirits'........

Christianity does not have "brands".

You ask many questions.

Many of you questions need to be asked.

While I don't like the term "brands", I do see where you are coming from.

Real Christian churches do it the right way according to the Scriptures and not according to the traditions of man.

And there are lots of them around.

I don't have a "brand," I simply follow Jesus. He is Lord of lords and King of kings.

God bless!
