Well if you join the Army next week, you will be guareeted at least $20,000 for any job you pick as long as you ship out before October 5, 2007. That bonus could reach as high as $40,000 depending on what job you pick and you will receive more than $20,000 because you have 70 college credit hours.

The Army does not have the quickest to send to Iraq. We are the largest branch so I do realize it seems like the Army is only there. Not true at all. I seen the Navy, Airforce, Marines, National Guard & Coast Guard so dont tell everyone that the Army has the highest projection that you will get deployed. Every branch specially the smaller ones have the best chances of getting deployed.

The military does not pay bonus's based on the number of credit hours earned.
Bonus's are based on the job you enlist for.
The military will give advanced rank based on the number of credit hours earned.
For 70 credit hours, you could enlist as a :
Army - E-3
Air Force - E-3
Navy - E-3
Marine - E-2
Coast Guard - E-2

You're not giving us much to work with, you know?
Army has highest bonuses, but also the highest chances of getting sent to Iraq. Then, Navy, then Air Force. AF is also going to Iraq more often.
But the bonus you get is directly related to what field you're going into, commonly called an MOS. Oh, Army has bonuses for people who sign and want to go to bootcamp like... now.

As far as the AF--there are only 7 AFSC's that offer bonuses (SERE and Linguist are two of them) and only up to $6000 for those. The AF is not interested in people joinng for the money, they turn people away on a daily basis. You would enter as an E-3 possibly an E-4 taking home roughly $650-$750 every two weeks.
Bonuses are taxed at 25%

Bonuses vary wildly from branch to branch and many are job specific. You'd have to see a recruiter to get more detailed information about what is available as that can change literally daily.
with college credits you can start off with a paygrade of E3 as opposed to E1.

What do you want to do?
Fight a war?
Be in a ship for 6+ months
Support the Fight?
Build A Future?
A bonus is nice, but thats just the start, keep your future in mind
Thats why I went with the USAF, we don't see a dime for a bonus, but we get a bright future.
