I have a learning disability but it doesn't stop me from working hard in life. I plan on becoming a school teacher because I love working with children. Right now I single and wanting to find someone in my life. If I were to meet a guy when would be the right time to tell him that I have a learning disability? I don't want to hide who I am but also don't want to scare some guy off either. I may not be perfect and I hope that any guy will accept me for all my wonderful qualities. I am capable of doing things that everyone else in this world can do. So any advice you can give me would be wonderful!! Thanks!!!

A learning disability is not bad at all, so it is whenever you feel comfortable letting it out. If the guy thinks that a learning disability is too much to deal with and looks over all the good qualities that you have to offer then he doesn't deserve you. Remember nobody is perfect.

I once dated a girl with a learning disability. (I didn't marry her but that had nothing to do with her ld...) One day, she said, "I want to take you somewhere and show you something." She took me to a center where she worked with younger kids with ld. I asked her how she got into doing that. She said she had a ld and this is where she came. And now she comes back to help younger kids. It was really sweet. Not only was she telling me, she was showing me how she learned to deal with it and overcome it. We stayed and helped the kids and I even had fun. I saw her in an entirely different light after that. I actually held her in higher esteem for what she was. BTW we broke up bec her old bf came back from the Peace Corps and she got back with him. But I still hold her in high esteem.
