Nice to have a place to go. I don't. I'll just die and what happens after that isn't of much concern to me. I've already done it twice but the Emergency room people brought me back. Some people need something to hold on to. If it's afterlife, good for you. A destination is not required. You will most certainly leave this place. Your beliefs will not change anything. My beliefs have no bearing on yours. You will be gone and where, nobody here will know. I'm not dissing you and I'm not making a joke. Please respect my answer as a valid option.

Heaven is being with God after we die from this world. Hell is a state of being without love, or God, but there is a third choice, the lake of fire reserved for those who follow the anti-christ. Jesus has set all who believe in him, free from the law, so the anti-christ is one who demands we must follow the spititual law.
In America, we have few spiritual laws governing us, unlike countries ruled by such laws. So we keep spiritual laws by choice, not fear. That many do not only becomes our concern when their ignorance hurts us, then the offenders get locked up with others of their kind under strict rules. All of us, believer and non-believer find tribal rule to be a sort of slavery unless one is the leader so we see muslims as a tribe and an enemy of Gods free gift of salvation through believing in Jesus as ones Savior from the law.
That many of our ancestors came from tribal law and hated it, we seek to judge others by how they can help us, not by their beliefs. Which is not true of Muslims who require spiritual and civil obedience by everyone,

I do believe in a literal heaven and hell.
Scripture point to them both, but they are misunderstood by many.
First off, hell: the New Testament does mention it several times. Jesus himself mentioned hell as a place of judgment. He portrayed hell most colorfully in the parable of the wealthy man and the beggar Lazarus. Similar words are found in the Old Testament too.
And for heaven: it is most often seen as a place of reward and the home of G*d and his angels. Jesus portrays it as an eternal kingdom, opposed to the present world.
In the Revelation, the old earth and hell are destroyed with fire and a "new heave and a new earth" are the eternal home of the faithful.

Heaven and hell are very real. I don't know exactly what Mohammad said, but Jesus said He is the Son of God and came to Earth to die as payment of our sins because we are unable to. Just before He died, He said "it is finished". Some think that because God is not currently making physical appearances here on earth, He doesn't exist. When He comes back, He will want an explanation from each of us for what we have done and believed.

My dear, you're setting yourself up for a lot of scoffers and self-made critics and mockers to ridicule your question. I'm sad that this will happen, and I pray that it doesn't, but just in case, don't take it to heart. Only fools mock other people's questions.
I became a Christian about 35 years ago when the Lord delivered me out of a lifestyle of drug abuse, booze, cigs, etc. I've never been the same, and I trust in what the Bible says because God has been faithful to His Word to those who call upon Him in Truth.
With that in mind, I DO believe that these places exist - possibly on another dimension or something (who can tell what the spiritual world truly is like?). I belive that we ALL have broken God's Laws sufficiently to send every one of us to hell, and we rightly deserve it.
But I also believe that God sent His Son into the world to save us from hell, and die in our place, becoming sin and trading places with us so that WE wouldn't have to face judgement.
I believe that God loved us so much that even while we were still sinners, He sent His Son into the world to save any who would receive Him.

Everyone will go to either Heaven or Hell. If you are saved, you will go to Heaven. If you're not, you will go to Hell. Besides the Bible stating this, I've been around and have heard testimonies of saved and unsaved during their last hours. My mother, for example, had a far away look in her eyes and told me before she took her last breath that she was going to be with Jesus. My dad's aunt, unsaved, screamed until she took her last breath and a man that my senior pastor witnessed to several years ago was screaming for someone to pull him out because his feet were fire.

The only way a hell could hurt you is with the element of regret.
pain, any human can handle. torture too. It's regret that sucks. Doubting YOURSELF.
Now the Q is what is true? Are we sinful? or are we just Life in organic form minding its own business?
That's the question. Nothing other than the answer can do you any harm.
And why would we be sinful??

My understanding of heaven and hell comes from the Bible. Heaven is the realm of God, his son and the angels. The earth is man's domain. Hell is the common grave of all mankind and not a place of torment since "the dead are conscious of nothing" (Psalm115:16, Revelation 20:13,14, Psalm 146:4)

Yes I believe in Heaven and Hell - except with Hell not in the traditional sense of God sending people to burn there on Judgment Day but rather a choice; we voluntarily choose to separate ourselves from God (hell) due to our own pride.

Yes and no. Heaven is the current dwelling place of angels and the throne of the creator. Hell is where all go in death. Its not a place of torment, but a state of nonexistence. Basically the state we were in prior to being conceived.
I hope to await for God's kingdom to come here and reclaim the Earth.
