Yes, I think it does. People that complain usually are around those that like to also. People that gossip usually hang with each other too.

I'm a Christian and I'm not miserable and neither are my Christian friends. We all have hope and faith.
Now I have a friend who is not Christian and she has been unhappy and participating in some self-destructive behavior...sounds like she could use some hope too. That's why I pray for her.

I think it a human thing. When one is miserable they don't want to be around sunshine and flower people. They one another miserable person so they can complain to one another.

Yes it does, that is why Satan is constantly trying to pull people to hell, because he will not rule in hell he will burn with them. Not meaning to be harsh, but there is no nice way of saying that.
