Mary, mother of Jesus, when did she consent to god's plan? Chapter and verse, please?

Did she have "freewill"?

Sure Diana, let me look for you. After the angel announced what God had planned, Mary said, "let it be done to me as you have said, behold the haidmaid of the Lord".

P.S. It's Luke 1, start at about verse 26 and read the whole thing, about ten verses.

And Mary said to the angel " let it be as you have said". Or words to that affect. She acknowledged her consent to the angel. Luke chapter 1 verse 38

Mary (or her spokes person) really pulled the wool over everyone's eyes, didn't she...! What a terrific way to cover up the truth of her premarital pregnancy. You gotta hand it to whoever thought up that one, right? It's a whole lot happier than the "I got drunk at a party and was raped story," isn't it. LOL

While they make reasonably good story book characters, I have to seriously doubt that there ever was a real life Mary or a real life Jesus. The evidence for them is severely lacking.

The Birth of Jesus Foretold
26In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

29Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."

34"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"

35The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[c] the Son of God. 36Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. 37For nothing is impossible with God."

38"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

There you go, are you happy. Mary said it was ok, and God even asked before making her pregnant

when the angel explained what was going to happen in
Luke 1:38 and Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to your word. and then the angel departed from her.KJV
so he did wait for her reply and she agreed by saying she wanted to be the handmaid of the Lord.
The new English version says: then Mary said: "Look the Lord's slave girl! May it take place with me according to your declaration.
She was told by Gabriel what was going to happen and she agreed to it.

Luke 1:26-38

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Pay careful attention to verse 38 which is where Mary gives her consent.

The Bible is a book of fairy tales. Don't believe what is found in the NT or OT. It was not the first religion, nor the last, nor the most honest, nor are Christians and Jews God's chosen peoples. We only have their word that they are and I have never seen and honest Jew let alone an honest Christian. If they quote scripture to you, they are lying through their teeth. Jeremiah said, the scribes are lying when they say God is with us. God's word is not written, it is spoken, and it is very doubtful he uses only one person at a time to bring his message to mankind.
