Pick a side. Christianity, only a few thousand, evolutionists, about 4.5 billion (give or take a few 100 million [to me seems quite the estimate])
I think that the 6000 is more plausible, I've done some looking into it personally.
Consider these:
1) If the earth was 4.5billion, then why is the moon so close if it is moving away from the planet at the rate fingernails grow
2) Same as above, except it's the earth moving from the Sun
3) The probability of life starting randomly obn earth is about 1/10^400, when the number of electrons in the universe is only like 10^80, and in maths a probability less then 1/10^50 is considered 0
4) Some of the dating techniques used become less accurate the further back you go, one technique said a human remains was like 50 million years, and underneath them was a FM radio
I don't know bout you, but that puts some doubt in my mind about the 4.5 billion side

The Earth is 4.5 billion years old. Dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago. Anything resembling human has only been around for 2.5 million years.

Asking this in the religion and spirituality section, I'm not sure if you want the actual answer or a mythical answer. Natural evidence tells us it is 4.5 billion years old. If you don't rely on objective evidence, then any number of years is as likely as the next. (Young earth creationists, for example, think it is 6,000 years old and don't rely on evidence.)

According to scientists: About 4.54 billion years
According to Young-Earth Creationists: 6,000 to 10,000 years
According to Last Thursdayists: The world was created last Thursday.
You can make up your own mind about who you want to believe.

"Mr. Candidate, sir, given the overwhelming body of evidence from hundreds of different scientific fields ranging from archeology to physics to zoology, can you explain to us how you can seriously believe that the world was created 2000 years after the Babylonians invented beer ?" — Question suggested by Bombula for creationist candidates.

About four and a half billion years - and this question has nothing to do with religion or spirituality.
If anybody tells you any different (say, less than a million years) - well, they're probably - what's the word for it? - americans.

According to actual recorded data, about 6000 years old. Thats how far back our recorded history goes, Since we know that Adam was a very smart man there is no reason to believe in anything else. Some people want to say millions, they have no proof, if they were here then, wouldn't there have been history handed down.
